@CoveredGeekly It was remarkable, but it should have cut down those long shot and even cut some portion of it , also even though it had bought many revolutionary VFX tech but due to time constraints many effects had compositing issues

@TRIPSTER0 It runs Star Wars outlaws and Assasins creed shadow both demanding game flawless 30fos, but you cannot make either of those title to run on Deck no matter what setting is pushed. I know how? I own both on deck and they are horrendous

CDPR ported their RED Engine tech over to UE5 through a 15-year co-development contract with Epic. CDPR gets access to 9th gen DX12 tech they never had before, Epic games gets access to CDPR's Openworld RPG subsystem tech like TurboTECH. This is public knowledge since 2022 btw.

Huge shame that CDPR are moving away from Red engine imo. If Cyberpunk was on UE I'd wager we wouldn't have seen these updates on PS5 Pro, likely wouldn't have the game on Switch 2 and wouldn't have the same experience on PC in terms of all the advanced rendering and scalability. Not to mention open world performance. Captures from my playthrough on PC. #Cyberpunk2077

@pointandcircle @Chaoxfhy Have you ever considered the cost of having to maintain a proprietary engine? Again CDPR wins by using an engine that is so widespread, you don’t need to train new hires nearly as much And everybody else wins because you now have RED Engine tech available to you as well

@mweis200 @Chaoxfhy Yes I never denied anything of that, and that it means, it did nothing for CDPR's own RED engine as they retired it in favor of so called gaining access to the UE that any other dev can do with so called partnership. Not sure where did I denied it.
