I am surprised that so many Barca fans are against Alvarez. If you Look at the strikers Barca have had in the past Alvarez fits the profile. Villa, Eto’o, Suárez were all under 6 foot but thrived because of their technical ability.

That's just not true. Salah played alongside Van Dijk (arguably the best CB of the PL era), Alisson (arguably the best GK of the PL era), Robertson, Trent, Firmino, Mane etc and managed by one of the greatest in recent history. Genuine world class players. Gerrard was playing alongside Jon Flanagan, Stewart Downing, Paul Konchesky and managed by Roy Hodgson. I don't know why you're attempting to bring down Gerrard to prop up Salah. They're both two of the greatest in our history and you can make a case for either. Neither is right or wrong, so acting like "Salah is better objectively in every metric" is just stupid.

guehi is a guaranteed starter. stones gets in over maguire for me. better in build up but he’s never fit so maguire probably will start

@MannyUTFR 100% has to start. Not like he’s got much competition but his ceiling is higher than Gordon’s. Rashford also got much more big game experience than Gordon. You want players that aren’t gonna feel the pressure against France/Spain etc

This isn’t even all that but the long distance carries at that speed + the dribbling in tight spaces(something people swore up and down he can’t do) + also just being better than any other available option tells me he should be the starting LW in the Summer. He just has to be.

As of now, this is what I would go with for The World Cup. Saka is not in form. Palmer is not in form. Bellingham is not in form. None of them deserve to start, it is exactly the mistake made under Southgate. I don't know about Gordon either, but Rashford has been poor too. Gordon has shown more promise recently though, Rashford isn't even getting minutes. Backline is quite self explanatory.

@1875will_ We have some players that are t4 quality and some who aren’t even playoff quality. Disparity in players. Need a better spine imo and that starts with a new keeper and a no 9 who can win a header. I like the duck but provides absolutely nothing when he doesn’t score

How depressing is that we have a squad capable of top 6 and it's being wasted under an utterly clueless manager, I genuinely think give all the other managers in this league this blues team and about 17 or 18 would get this team into the top 6 #BCFC

Seen some accounts (not blues ones) saying we wasted 20 million on stansfield. Hes still got 15g/a in the league this season and bagged 19 last year. Some of his criticism is unjustified. Hasn’t been in good form for a while but he’s still providing. #bcfc

@1875Ben He made an error not starting solis and maybe Roberts but the rest is on the players. So flat, no urgency no fight. The intensity just isn’t there compared to other games this season -Leeds Ipswich cov etc. Blame lies with the players more than anyone

Getting harder and harder to defend him now, talk of “going all out” yet we’ve registered 0 shots on target all game. Scoreline has definitely flattered us there, no positives to that game at all other than it’s a game closer to the end of the season. Seasons 100% over.

@LeftPegg8 Even still Doyle was so deep when he came in. A Cm dropping inbetween cb’s when we’re trailing the game to ‘dictate’ the play. Receive the ball higher up and we have a better chance of pulling them apart
