@hpmcd1 Saying in a contemptuous tone that “X claims Y,” without caring to inform your readers whether or not Y is true, is the lowest form of journalism. It reaches the bottom when Y is in fact true. Did you go to school to learn how to do this? Or some kind of Khan Academy class

🚨 Anthropic just revealed their unreleased frontier model called Claude Mythos Preview The model is INSANE It found thousands of zero-day vulnerabilities in EVERY major operating system and browsers: > 27-year-old bug in OpenBSD > 16-year-old bug in FFmpeg that automated tools hit 5M times without catching Completely autonomous. No human steering. They assembled an entire industry coalition called Project Glasswing around it: AWS, Apple, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, CrowdStrike, JPMorgan, Cisco, Palo Alto, Linux Foundation Goal: patch the world’s software BEFORE releasing it > SWE-bench: 93.9% (Opus 4.6: 80.8%) > Anthropic is committing $100M in usage credits > Thousands of vulnerabilities in 40+ organizations are being fixed right now Yesterday OpenAI published a 13-page essay warning about cyber threats and asking the government to help… Today Anthropic actually fixed them.

Rave girls are the paradigmatic instantiation of the Raymond Peat Foid. Exercise that is needlessly repetitive, which feels like negative exertion above and beyond what is enjoyable becomes stressful as lactic acid builds up, cortisol spikes to manage the stress. Long distance running and various other programs are similar in this exertion which opposes the feelings of the body. Dancing on the other hand? It is typically self-directed and rhythmic, driven by music, emotion, social connection, or personal expression, making it inherently volitional (chosen, intentional, and often joyful) rather than mechanical repetition on a machine or forced cardio. People pace themselves to how they feel, dancing in community and rhythm instead of a totalitarian regimatic training program. If you feel winded or over exerted what you do is just slow down. Instead of full shuffling you just bob around, nod your head, move your arms a bit. As energy comes back you pick up the pace. The rave girl is also very physically attractive because the cortisol is next to zero, every fun activity increases oxytocin and protective hormones like DHEA, which are no doubt the reason for the beautiful contours which reflect a joyous energy expenditure. The fat partitioning is perfect. The muscles are functional and built by joy and a higher healthier anabolic profile. Stress? Where's that for the rave girl? The rave girl is with her friends listening to music enjoying her life. Its a continous vortex of new meaningful connections, jokes, games, toys, communication, music, and community. You don't go to the gym because of the music, and a strong gym community isn't the default, nor is joking around necessarily either. The gym is only fun if you train with other people, or bring candy to eat, or take it as seriously as a rave. The rave is the model. Dancing with friends is orders of magnitude easier for fat loss than punishing yourself with hours of treadmill time. Look to the rave girl. Be inspired by the rave girl. Marry the rave girl.

The hardest pill for a man to swallow is the realization that he is the only creature on earth who is loved strictly on a conditional basis. Women, children, and even pets are loved simply for breathing and existing. A man is only loved on the condition that he provides, protects, or produces. The exact second a man loses his utility, his job, or his physical strength, he becomes entirely invisible to the society that claimed to love him.

@thedimitri Feminism’s selective application of equity was always a means of designing inequity. The whole “double standard” argument mysteriously only ever comes up when it’s something women don’t want to do.

One issue with modern feminism is extending equity beyond the sexes to desire itself. If everything is interchangeable, then "if you want to do X, you should be okay with X being done to you" starts to sound like a coherent argument. Completely untethered from reality.

The only advice i would give a son is the world hates you until you become useful. then it pretends it never hated you, and you must remember that it did, or you will start believing the love is real. and that is how they tame you

None of these people actually worship Satan, but if you were to ask most people why they use Satanic iconography they would say it is ironic or about inverting hierarchical structures or an attempt to reclaim their power in the world or it just looks cool. Okay, why does it look cool? Because it presents the profane as seductive and beautiful. So, in essence, pretending to worship Satan by using his image is not functionally any different than actually worshipping Satan. Many things are like this. The power is not in your belief or consent. It exists within the functional purpose of the thing itself.

Yann LeCun and his team dropped yet another paper! "V-JEPA 2.1: Unlocking Dense Features in Video Self-Supervised Learning" In this V-JEPA upgrade, they showed that if you make a video model predict every patch, not just the masked ones AND at multiple layers, they are able to turn vague scene understanding into dense + temporal stable features that actually understands "what is where". This key insight drove improvements in segmentation, depth, anticipation, and even robot planning.
