@CityofAtlanta As a Downtown Resident: We should move forward with Streetcar East ASAP, connecting Downtown to even more locations in the city via high-quality, high-capacity transit! We should also start work on Streetcar West!

Genuinely wonderful seeing the recent investment & growth in Downtown Atlanta. Vibrant, enjoyable, & inviting Downtowns have compounding benefit to their entire city. With reliable options to access surrounding neighborhoods w/ ease, more will live in & visit.

Atlanta, what does the future of Downtown look like? Chief of Staff Courtney English shares how we’re building a true neighborhood with mixed-income housing, grocery access, safer streets, and stronger connections. Read more: atl.direct/future-of-down…

In 2025, I spent $1,962 on public transit, Citi Bike, and rideshare. With AAA estimating the annual cost of car ownership at $11,577, that means I saved $9,615 by living in a walkable city with great transit. Car dependency is expensive.

Only saw a handful of cars using Juniper on my walk home. Maybe we should take another lane.

The most important thing about this amazing Paris transformation is how fast it happened —how fast people on bikes “appeared” —once streets were transformed. You can’t write this off as “#Paris was always this way,” because it wasn’t. It took leadership.

Due to TSA staffing constraints, ATL is continuing to see longer than normal wait times at security checkpoints. Travelers are encouraged to arrive at least 4 hours early. We appreciate your patience and thank our federal and airport partners for their continued dedication.

it took my family 5 hours yesterday afternoon to just get through TSA security, missed their flight and slept overnight in the terminal for the next flight this morning. chose to sleep in the terminal floor rather than leave and go through that security line hell again
Dave Danna@DaveEDanna

TSA is quoting 3 hours for both pre check and general, they have turned off the signs that show wait time because they can’t track the lines when they’re into baggage claim. Clear is closed. This is ATL at 5am

Local journalists should dig into what went wrong. Bridge installed this past year appears to be faulty, must be deconstructed, then rebuilt. Who is at fault? Who is paying for the duplicate work? The BeltLine fumbled delivery, again, despite massive & increased budget 👀

@JoshGreen1234 Beltline Peachtree Creek bridge has started to be taken apart with this first middle segment now hanging on wires

@HowEPhil there'll be even more scooters and ebikes this summer on the ESB, it'll be packed. my hope is that the SSB connection opens up more of the traffic to the west side and the traffic will be more distributed along the whole beltline

This is why not building out beltline rail will actually kill the whole project… Developers and restauranteurs want the exclusivity of traditional suburbia, but cannot make up the volume with adjust that audience You need public transportation for that
Urbanize Atlanta@UrbanizeATL

This once-buzzing #Atlanta Beltline district is mostly vacant, but brighter days are ahead, according to project leaders. atlanta.urbanize.city/post/the-beaco…
