For my #coffee lovers out there, an @AeroPress is well worth the investment. It’s cheap, quick, and easy to brew/clean/stowaway/travel with. What else do you need for an everyday cup?

@schneedotdev Hey, #100Devs student here. Do you have some time for a coffee chat? Would mean a ton!
English

I have officially joined @1Password as a Junior Developer.
I want to thank all the wonderful friends I've made throughout my #100Devs journey and beyond, who've genuinely driven me to be the best version of myself and expand technically, personally, and professionally. I would not have reached this milestone without the tremendous support and comradery from the entire community. I am community-taught! And will continue to support those working to progress and find opportunities in tech. You can do this; please do not give up. I am grateful for you all and hope you can all be proud of your commitment.
A huge thank you to @leonnoel for your unfathomable generosity and mission to develop a community that drives individuals to find life-changing opportunities and friendships. This is the greatest community the internet has ever known.
This day marks the end of a nearly year-long job hunt since I graduated from 100Devs during the second cohort that started in January 2022. Since deciding to join, my life has completely changed for the better. The journey through the cohort and beyond is full of many emotions and obstacles, each having a necessary role in our progression. For those still pushing through, finding yourself stuck or uncertain, lean on those around you to help pull you through. Your time will come when you least expect it, and each challenge presented will be a learning opportunity you can look back on and be thankful for. Remember that each second counts toward something more significant than the last. One decision can positively impact you for the rest of your life.
As my schedule settles, I'll be happy to arrange coffee chats with anyone in the process of job hunting or navigating the 100Devs journey. Additionally, I am extending an open invitation for anyone to contact me via Twitter for support or guidance. I want to continue to help you all as you've done for me. Depending on the volume of messages, it may take time to respond.
Thanks again. I can't wait to see where this crazy journey takes us.

Besides that my fav feature is behind a paywall, @quizlet has become one of the best study tools for me. It accomplishes what Anki did for me and more. The AI tools let me actively recall in conversation form—which has been really effective for memorizing concepts quickly. 🧠💭

@MackensieJack @rfornal Bob always has great advice! He had helped me navigate early on in my journey.
English

@schneedotdev @rfornal gave me similar advice earlier this year and it stuck with me so hard through the job search. This is the truuuuuth.
English

I've noticed a recurring theme in job searching: the advice to 'shape your values to align with a company.' To me, this suggests that a company is not the right company for you. Instead, consider an alternative approach that will benefit your alignment and lead you closer to roles that resonate with you.
Rather than molding your values to match a company's, focus on how a company provides you the ability to act on your values. Companies ultimately hire because they believe YOU can give value to THEM. If you cannot define what energizes you, what you are working toward, and what makes you get up every day, you are missing out on an opportunity to distinguish yourself in the market. Define your values and then search for companies that align.
This approach will empower you to advocate for yourself and establish a mission that's uniquely yours—setting you apart from the rest of the market.
