@arthistorynews @EmmaDabiri @TernTelevision @GillespieStudio @IshbelGrosvenor @PlanetSpike You all did exactly what the BBC should do; championed art that belongs to us all, made the past accessible and gave the viewer a fantastic reveal! Inform educate and entertain all in one show, pretty special.

So lucky to make 16 #BritainsLostMasterpieces with the dazzlingly talented @EmmaDabiri, the clever folk @TernTelevision, the magician @GillespieStudio, my lovely producer @IshbelGrosvenor 😍, and the man who made it all happen, the Maestro @PlanetSpike. Oh, and you, our audience.

@HotelChocolat your advent calendar for 2 is a great idea but needs more variety! We’ve had raspberry 3 times now and it’s only the 7th!

Hi @Homebase_uk my order has only been partially delivered but I have no visibility of when the other items will be arriving. Can you help?

@HawksmoorLondon Hey I was THRILLED to see steaks available from @Ocado unfortunately this one didn’t quite match my restaurant expectations, the stripe of fat through the middle is huge. Hope it’s a one off.

@HadleyFreeman Jill and Ash were plot devices, not characters. They both deserved better.

I totally agree with Lisa Power here that it’s a shame that, in terms of the female characters in It’s a Sin, that it’s a shame so much coverage has focused on “soft, supportive Jill” and not the tough lawyer. But that reflects the focus on the show theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2…

@lauralexx There was a BBC TV show called Maestro in 2008 where celebs competed to conduct a prom.It was a brilliant example of how conductors affect the piece. You might be able to find it somewhere!

@John_Whaite The fun in Bake off is seeing normal people succeed. The manufactured drama in tempering chocolate in a hot tent and not giving the contestants enough time to complete is boring

@LucyMangan So sorry Lucy. How lucky you were to have Henry in your life xx

Going through old photographs and found this particularly raucous tribute to @joe_dante's Gremlins. Love the whiskey miniatures that childhood me has clearly pinched from my dad.

@Nigella_Lawson This is the only choc chip cookie recipe I use, it’s perfect!
English

It’s a bit hot for baking, but just because these chocolate chip cookies are #RecipeOfTheDay doesn’t mean you have to make them today! Still, they are very good, even if I do say so myself. And those in the Southern Hemisphere needn’t worry about the heat! nigella.com/recipes/chocol…
