**Hey Jake__Wujastyk** Historical stats on S&P 500 (SPY tracks it closely) after new Fed Chair appointments show short-term volatility is common: **Max drawdowns** (Barclays, since 1930): - 3 months: avg ~-12% - 6 months: avg ~-16% - 12 months: avg ~-20% **Point-to-point returns** (recent examples): - Bernanke (Feb 2006): +12.7% at 12M - Yellen (Feb 2014): +17.7% at 12M - Powell (Feb 2018): ~+3% to flat at 12M - Greenspan (1987): -21% (Black Monday) 3M/6M point returns are mixed/near flat on median in limited samples. Small sample size + macro factors dominate. No data yet for Kevin Warsh (sworn in May 22, 2026). Markets often "test" new chairs early, but longer-term returns have been positive most of the time.

$VELO -8% in pre It broke out of a 1.75 year base yesterday >$30 which is where the books say you should be buying. However for me, I already had an existing exposure AND I don't know what the books say about buying the nearly 2 year breakout on a +35% day. That is too much risk for my style so I would love to see it sort of hang around in a range (it won't be narrow as that is not the nature of this stock) to let the 5 ema catch up and then make another attempt on $30+ I added a green horizontal line to the daily chart to showcase that $30 level. Below is both the short term and longer term chart to show that level.

Last post before the Sabbath. There’s 13 trading days left until the July 3, Federal holiday (for the 250th July 4 which is on a Saturday). The last trading day of June & first 2 trading days of July are three of the most consistently consecutive bullish days all year. 😴

This might be the most important market info you read this weekend. 🎯
Most investors are reading the wrong chart for a current understanding of the market health and a strong indicator of what's next. $SPY and $QQQ aren't telling you the full story — they're telling you the story of 7 stocks. And most of those stocks were down significantly last week.
If you missed my post last week, $RSP is the equal-weighted S&P 500. Every stock carries the same weight. No mega-cap bias. No $NVDA or $AAPL carrying the whole index on its back. Just the raw, unfiltered health of the broader market.
Right now $RSP is flashing 3 bullish signals:
1. Bull flag breakout; after a false breakdown Wednesday, price pushed through the upper bull flag trendline
2. MACD crossover; momentum shifting bullish
3. Price breaking through the upper channel. Illustrated in the 2nd zoomed in 4hr chart.
This is what broad market strength looks like. Market breadth matters. The market looks healthy at the moment as money rotates pulling from mega caps into other sectors. Don't get head faked by $SPY $QQQ

$MSFT has respected its multi-year ascending channel since 2022 and right now, it's doing exactly that.
The dotted path says it all — I expect one more retest of support to carve out a higher low before the next leg up, similar to late 2022. Patience is the trade.
