@SenSchumer If Americans agreed the status quo cannot continue, you wouldn’t be there, desperately propping up. Real leadership would deal with this shit.

Americans from all walks of life agree that the status quo cannot continue. What's happening in Minneapolis and other cities around the country is not law and order, it's thuggery. We will keep working to rein in ICE’s abuses.

@natebjones Not that I need to; I kinda get hooked on the high of it for a while. If I settle in and embrace the new, move beyond novelty and fixation, if the new is really good, I then spend increasingly effective time adapting with it for producing concentrations of quality not scale.

@natebjones Then, when I relax eagerly into exploration, the place often feels like it has floors, and caverns, and indoor outdoor and I find exploring and adapting flows faster, I can experience and express more intensely. More purposefully. Hyper aware that I can do more, I burn more time.

Strongly agree with this take. I don’t know where Dario is getting the idea that we’re gonna work less but I don’t think it reflects behavior so far by early adopters in the AI revolution
Gergely Orosz@GergelyOrosz

Even though AI agents make me more productive: when I use them, I end up working more, not less! It’s such a contradiction: a thing that should be saving time ends up taking away more overall time… A reason I find it hard to believe AI will lead to fewer hours/days worked…

@MegynKellyShow @megynkelly Look at you. Look at where you are. Look at what you’ve become, who you’ve become. Outrage you hope to provoke washes through us, your addiction to it consumes you, hollows you out. The more you rave, you grow more small Even your eyes aren’t the same. The light is all gone.

@RepJeffries The DHS budget vote is coming up. Filibuster. Yes it’s complicated. So what. Step up. Otherwise double speak your way to continuing letting this administration field illegal kill squads in our cities.

@JDVance Seems like you’re having fun. All that power, yet everything you say makes you weaker, very show of strength makes you smaller. You must have weird dreams. I would think the meds probably don’t work so good, but you’re afraid to admit even taking them. So afraid. All the time.

When I was in Minneapolis, I heard a number of crazy stories. But near the top of the list: A couple of off duty ICE and CBP officers were going to dinner in Minneapolis. They were doxed and their location revealed, and the restaurant was then mobbed. The officers were locked in the restaurant, and local police refused to respond to their pleas for help (as they've been directed by local authorities). Eventually, their fellow federal agents came to their aid. This is just a taste of what's happening in Minneapolis because state and local officials refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement. They have created the chaos so they can have moments like yesterday, where someone tragically dies and politicians get to grandstand about the evils of enforcing the border. The solution is staring everyone in the face. I hope authorities in Minneapolis stop this madness.

Three men — Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos — now own more wealth than 165 million Americans combined. They own the media.  They own the algorithms. They own politicians in both parties. The system is rigged — but We the People can take it back.

Can we catalyze supply chain, manufacturing, and global trade policy by "disruption". Yep. @flexport transforms global shipping logisitics - all the bits n bobs therein - even touches last mile. Building value thru discovering and solving problems in relationship with industry.
Ryan Petersen@typesfast

On April 17th the U.S. Trade Representative's office is expected to impose fees of up to $1.5M per port call for ships made in China and for $500k to $1M if the ocean carrier owns a single ship made in China or even has one on order from a Chinese shipyard. 🧵 1/

But wait! Won't orders for widgets, aluminum, gaskets,, sensors, scales parts, cams, insulators, and..all go to the American companies.. could be.. but think about it. Not enough co's exist, and if they did, their costs of goods sold mean they cant afford to make em
Ryan Petersen@typesfast

In the meantime, U.S. manufacturers who have just had massive new tariffs placed on components and machinery sourced from abroad should brace themselves for impact because all indications are that this rule is coming on April 17th.  /end

Given what just happened with the new tariffs tanking global equities markets, it would be crazy for the USTR to go through with this rule. If we want the U.S. to be competitive in global manufacturing, we need world-class port infrastructure and logistics connectivity. /12

..and *this*.. while people are dunking on dumbasses who don't or wont grasp modern trade.. is the actual point.. because of the 30M+ businesses in America impacted, 96%+ are not mega corps who can survive this on cash, bank deals, and bullshit.
Ryan Petersen@typesfast

As the Trump Administration pursues the noble goal of re-industrializing the United States, passing a pass a rule simultaneously that limits U.S. exports as a function of American made ships—ships that today that will hamstring exporters would be a true self-own. 11/
