Can I ask for your opinion? I’m thinking about creating a separate YouTube channel where I fix unnatural Japanese in textbooks and apps. Not everybody likes this topic, so that’s why I’m thinking of creating a new channel just for this. But I haven’t decided on a channel name that represents what I do. Here are some of the names I’ve thought about. @learning_yohei I think English people are more familiar with American words (because of films) but others will just depend where you are - crisps in Britain are the ones you get in a pack as a snack and Americans call them chips. In Britain chips are chunky and fries are thin.

For example, 🇺🇸 / 🇬🇧 elevator / lift cookie / biscuit fries / chips soccer / football gas / petrol movie / film pants / trousers👈 underwear / pants👈 Which meaning of “pants” is actually correct?😭

As a Japanese person learning English, which one should I write?😵‍💫

@learning_yohei Depends. I think English spelling sounds better but I live in the UK. We in Britain understand American spelling so will understand you

@mato_fuyu I prefer to not drink coffee in the afternoon - prefer as in it's what I like to do, but it's not for everyone, it's personal Rather than can be instead of. I prefer to drink coffee rather than tea. hope this makes sense

How do u guys use "cheers" "prefer (to)" "rather (than)"? I don't know how to use them properly although I've seen them many times🥲

@mato_fuyu Cheers when drinking can be 'kanpai' Cheers can also be thanks (informal) Cheering is something you do to your favourite team as in encouraging them.
