@MarinaPurkiss Gently urges all members not to sell weapons to the oppressor. This is an absolute joke. Bureaucracy and politeness much end.

@TonyWard867811 We elect people so we don't have to shoulder the burden of responsibility when things fall apart. They did this to us, and we did this to us. They sold off anything of value, took us into illegal and costly wars. Meanwhile we produce nothing, and invest nothing in our people.

The IMF just ranked Britain the worst performing major economy on the planet. Not a war torn nation. Not a failed state. Britain. Twenty five years of open borders, net zero ideology, DEI over defence and spending money we do not have. They did this to us. Not Putin. Not Trump. Not global headwinds. The people we elected. Every single one of them.

@jibtie @Alonso_GD Then in this hypothetical world that would be pretty bad. This is all conjecture though.

We are witnessing an incredible new ideology emerge: “Don’t vote Green bc their immigration policies will lower working class salaries by importing cheap labour but also don’t vote Green bc their 10:1 policy will force businesses to raise working class salaries to please CEOs”
Politics UK@PolitlcsUK

🚨 NEW: Green leader Zack Polanski will call for policies to end the "affordability crisis" tomorrow - The introduction of a 10:1 pay ratio, whereby the highest-paid employee earns no more than ten times the lowest-paid - Free school meals for all primary and secondary pupils - Universal energy bill support for households and stronger rent controls - A customs union with the EU to cut business costs

@jibtie @Alonso_GD It really depends on lots of other factors for me. Has anything else improved in this fantasy world? I'm not singularly fixated on wages as my metric for good/bad outcome. If it was lower aligned with renationalising water, rail, energy etc then I'd be happy enough.

@wormhellscape @Alonso_GD If the greens lead to lower inflation adjusted wages for most people, would you consider that a good outcome or a bad outcome?

@jibtie @Alonso_GD It's all rather subjective though. For me I perceive a "good outcome" with Green, because I want to see radical change that isn't rooted in division, hatred and greed, which is what I perceive in Reform, which would be a "bad outcome" - We possibly disagree, which is fine!

@wormhellscape @Alonso_GD If you’re saying you can’t predict the future with 100% certainty, that’s a meaningless statement. We’re talking about the principle of preferring policies FAR more likely to lead to good outcomes over policies FAR more likely to lead to bad outcomes.

The UK has the biggest loser mentality. Crab in the bucket, average people desperately defending their shortcomings by attacking anyone with any kind of ambition. Zero risk taking and endless penny pinching

@wormhellscape @Alonso_GD Of course I can. You don’t think there’s any people on planet earth who are any better at predicting things than any other people on Earth? You think everyone is equally good at predicting what types of economics are likely to produce good outcomes versus bad outcomes?

@haha_girrrl At 22, I'd probably choose option B. It's a time when you have the most energy and recovery capacity in your life. You will likely burn out, but 5 years of pain to sail into a much more secure life would be pretty good.

@jibtie @Alonso_GD I think you just want to disagree, and that's fine. You can't know if anything any politician is saying WILL lead to good or bad outcomes, anymore than any other person on the planet. That's why the intention is important, to me.

@wormhellscape @Alonso_GD Not really. Some of the evilest people in all of history still had good intentions in their eyes. I don’t care about whether their intentions are good or bad in their eyes. I care about whether what they intend to do will lead to good or bad outcomes.

@jibtie @Alonso_GD I think intentions are the whole point. It's the guiding principle. If that's rotten, so too is the mission. You see fear and I see hope. It's fine, just vote a different way.

@wormhellscape @Alonso_GD Intentions are irrelevant, when they’re advocating for policies that could legitimately turn the UK into a third world country and would MASSIVELY MASSIVELY lower the inflation adjusted wages of most people in the long term.

Dogs are being poisoned in parks across "Modern England". We all know who's doing this. And laws are being changed so you can't even mention who's doing it under the guise of "phobia".

@lieverrrniet @mysteryb0t I didn't say I liked it! It's just what I see. Other perspectives can be strange, but to say another being is low and unworthy because you see differently is quite unkind. Even to a worm such as I.

The 10:1 pay ratio I am fine with as a policy, however it couldn't be done over night, i'm sure we'll hear more details about it. But worth noting that in the 60s, the average ratio was 30:1, now it's 124:1. Inequality must be dealt with.

@wormhellscape @Alonso_GD You're right the greens would probably introduce some kind of Digital ID and ban us from communicating on certain websites to stop us organising. Oh wait, they're doing that to try and disrupt the "far right" from organising against the Globo-socialist narratives.
