@pkstory_esq Not sure there is one. Effectively just anything on the bottom half. The left is more just saying, "our pitchers get them out," whereas the right side is saying, "our defense gets them out."

@64Analytics Follow up comment, what would be the “ideal” location to be in here? Bottom right would show that defense is making a lot of plays (so more balls in play), but you maintain a low ERA. Bottom left would show you are producing a lot of Ks and have a low ERA.

Feels like you're basically saying: "Do our fielders get guys out or do our pitchers get guys out?" But I think we can do that. Let me know what you think.

@64Analytics Would love to see this for the "how do we keep people from scoring chart" little bit of assists, mixed in with runners cs, walks allowed etc and alot of ERA

@Bumperjbailey Maybe a point, here. Let's see if we can adjust the tool to bring in game-by-game differentiators rather than just the summed metrics.

Hot take: Mid-week games, while fun, don't paint any picture whatsoever. Winning/losing when you're throwing the back 1/2 of your staff doesn't paint the picture of your team.
Hot take 2: RPI doesn't account for that. RPI=NCAAT seeding. Midweeks can really hurt your seeding.

Quick review of a fun question: How Do We Score? Comparing ISO (how frequently do you hit XBH?) and R/PA (how efficient are you at scoring?).
Did not expect to see Austin Peay in the Small Ball but Good Offense category.

If it was the 4th best pitcher going 5, then then 5th going 2, followed by the 6th closing it out, I'd agree with you. It's not.
D1-3 '26 Midweek average # of pitchers: 10
D1-3 '26 Weekend average # of pitchers: 7
So not only do you get worse pitching, it's pseudo weekend tryouts.

Hot Take? Bad take
Midweek games show pitching depth of your staff. Its often your #4 vs their #4. Some teams empty their arms midweek. During the conference tourney, Regional and CWS you're going to need your #4 and all those arms at some point. Hence, midweeks paint the complete picture of your team

@Bear_up1 For sure. It can be a representation of a larger issue; however, it shouldn't be a "see, I told you so," type of assessment. A piece of the puzzle, but a small one.

@64Analytics Yeah, it doesn’t show you a team’s best, but it can point to the depth/ lack of depth for a team. Which should be taken into account for seeding and RPI
