Can’t pin this as a highlight without having quoted it, so here’s a second chance for you to learn more about why we founded Arkansas Quant: / Inform fanbases with the complete picture, not just what the headlines sell / Minimize "eye-test" bias / Bring game theory to college athletics. Kiffin and Cignetti are two who actively apply game theory.

think the tim tebow, cam newton, johnny manziel, manti te’o run of college football stars will be the biggest college superstars will forever feel. they were all not only amazing players but full on sports culture events. must have been an insane experience to be at their college at the time (definitely might be a “your favorite genre of music was the genre that was most popular when you were 10” though)

@HEELSNATION79 @awaytoworthy How much is David paid by UNC fans versus VCU’s coach? How much are UNC’s players paid by their fans versus VCU’s? Fans are shareholders. Shareholders are entitled to accountability - and not just a press conference with coach speak.

@awaytoworthy Before you guys send hate towards Hubert Davis, remember you aren’t just attacking a coach but a father, a husband and a DEVOUT CHRISTIAN!! One bad game shouldn’t takeaway what he’s brought to this program and we should be looking forward to seeing him continue to lead our team!

Seeing a lot of people questioning the “why” of this- Mark Pope told me last year that in a very noisy, chaotic & demanding world- these few minutes are an opportunity to give his guys just a bit of quiet to think, focus, and breathe a little bit. I think it’s fair to say we could all use that
Tyler Thompson@MrsTylerKSR

As is tradition, Mark Pope asks everyone in the gym, including the fans, to be quiet for the final two minutes of Kentucky’s practice.

@NoFilm_Analysis Same for coordinators and coaches. One excuse is sometimes okay. Two excuses are rarely okay.

Rule of thumb for prospect evaluation: You can typically measure how good a prospect is by how many excuses they don’t need If a prospect evaluation comes with a bunch of excuses for why they didn’t do this or why they couldnt do that then chances are they aren’t a good prospect

Similar applies for college football G6 coordinators who put historically bad program’s offense/defense into top 25 - they are MUCH more likely to be great coordinators in P4 than a median P4 coordinator moving to another P4 job would be.

Prior to today, mid-major teams with 30+ wins were 22-10 in Round of 64 in tournament history. There has never been a tournament where none of them won. Either Miami (OH) or High Point were foreseeably winning today. People love to overlook how disciplined AND good you have to be to win 30+ games against any strength of schedule. Something to keep in the pocket for next year to pick your R1 upsets. 24-10
ESPN Insights@ESPNInsights

Miami (OH) and High Point were the only 30-win teams to not earn top-3 seeds. Both won as underdogs in their NCAA tournament openers 🗣️

Fact to consider: in tournament history. 30+ win teams from mid major conferences are 22-10 in the opening round and there has NEVER been a season in which a 30+ W mid major team appeared and none of them won. #11 Miami (OH) is 31-1 #12 High Point is 30-4

@JacksonCollier Going to be interesting to come back to this and compare against whose remaining in Elite 8, Final 4, and natty. Then side-by-side it with front court play heat map to see which is more indicative.

@nikitabier @JackPosobiec A couple years overdue, was getting worried it was never going to happen, so I’m glad I came across your update on it. Hopefully it has advanced filtering for your own page, quotes, replies and then broad as well. Bookmark Search doesn’t work either.

@JackPosobiec It’s been getting hammered by AI agents and has been choking at scale. We’re almost done with the full rewrite of legacy Twitter search (and also bot detection).

@JacksonCollier I was thinking last night how nice it’d be to go back to a flip phone and my first thought was checking the weather (refuse to watch any news channel) and filling out tourney brackets and then thought of how I had never completed a paper bracket.

@GraysonPierce4 Tall receiver era has plummeted these last two seasons - as always there are exceptions, but the height distro of WRs with 500yds+ has swiftly shifted to quick to get open short route WRs who normally have smaller strides. All cyclical, though.

Ryan Silverfield is challenging wide receivers Courtney Crutchfield and Antonio Jordan to raise their level of play in the 2026 season. On Crutchfield: “Courtney’s got to make strides in the right direction… We’re going to continue to lean on [Crutchfield] to step up and make plays… and he’s going to have to battle his tail off.” On Jordan: “AJ has a huge, huge ceiling… He’s a high hipped young man who is physical… We have high expectations for him as well.” (H/T @jacobdaviscfb) | #WPS
