Headed to Seattle for our first @Mariners game of the season today. Then back next month for 2 games, June for our annual Father’s Day game, and then Atlanta in September! It’s gonna be a baseball park summer!!

@grantmcauley Exactly. The loss of pay IS the punishment. Pitchers get paid the same amount pitching as they do sitting on the bench. I would say losing $430K is more than a fair punishment, if not excessive.

That would be a pretty ridiculous suspension — 5 starts is roughly 17% of a starting pitcher's season. But 5 games is 3% of a position player's season.

@BeaneaterB Why are they allowed to carry an extra pitcher too? He is either a pitcher who hits OR he should only be allowed to pitch as a position player when the score allows that to happen. Thats like 5 special rules now? Not to mention they swept the gambling under the rug for him.
