@CZOctober25 I don’t dislike him. He is an unbelievable hitter. The point of the tweet was that the reason the Mets could not give Pete Alonso a five year deal was because Soto will have to be their DH before that five year deal would expire.

Since today is the start of the draft I have a question I’m hoping @CJNitkowski can help with. Other than competitive balance picks, why can’t teams trade draft picks? What is the disadvantage to either side preventing agreement in collective bargaining?

@WryWrichard Yes, that is the maximum. Not every team loses all 18 games though. The early years when I was in Texas, we would lose two or three a year.

Yes. (probably) There are 2 ESPN, 1 FOX and 1 NBC (I'll be on that call) remaining. However, the Braves have 17 of their maximum 18 games taken nationally so we could still lose one more.
