🛑UPDATES FROM ADVERSE🛑 We’ve been quiet for the past two months, but we’ve got a big announcement that is focused on infrastructure. Here’s a clear update on what’s changed at Adverse: • We’ve migrated from Ethereum to @base. Base gives us faster block times, lower fees, and more predictable performance. For an ad network handling frequent micro-transactions, speed and cost efficiency matter. • We’ve implemented embedded wallets. Users no longer need external wallet extensions or seed phrase management. Wallets are created in-app, reducing onboarding friction and improving adoption. • We’re covering gas fees on embedded wallets. Transaction costs are abstracted away from the end user. This creates a Web2-like experience while still operating on-chain. • We’re now working with @coinbase, integrating their on-ramp and off-ramp infrastructure. This allows seamless movement between fiat and crypto without requiring users to navigate third-party exchanges. • All transactions are now settled in euro. This removes volatility from ad spend, simplifies accounting, and makes budgeting predictable for advertisers. We believe people and businesses should be able to build and control their own advertising infrastructure. Web3 is full of scams, and even people you’ve known for years can flip or get compromised. Someone I’ve talked to a few times here and there since 2023, named @ThylaOG, reached out asking to use my Mutant Ape for an article for @nowmedia. Nothing strange… until the “confirmation link” sent to me required a wallet signature and the email address didn’t match NowMedia's domain. The final nail was a thread from the homie @nft_dreww confirming multiple compromised or recently flipped accounts with tons of mutuals. That’s when it hit me that I almost got caught slipping. Web3 is PvP. If you get too comfortable, you’ll get liquidated. Stay sharp. Double-check emails. Don’t sign random links. Don’t fall for “beta tests” or “free NFT” sign-ins. You never truly know people's intentions
