@CICsideChick No one is denouncing Africans; all we are asking from them is that they go back home and fight their corrupt governments. Running to South Africa illegally is not a solution

The World Bank is right. Nigeria should allow petroleum imports if that is what will keep fuel prices low for the average consumer. Dangote has done a good thing by building the refinery but he's setting prices way above competitive prices and that's exploitation hidden in the disguise of being self-sufficient. Worse off, he's taking the company public but only selling 10% of it to the public while he keeps 90%. If that isn't greed I don't know what else is. Let the market forces of demand and supply without government restrictions determine price. If Nigeria will not allow fuel imports then Dangote too should not export his fuel. He must sell all his fuel to only Nigerians. Dangote refinery is a PRIVATE business. You don't use government power to protect a private business that is the sole provider in the market without creating a monopoly. MONOPOLY is dangerous to the consumer.

@dammiedammie35 The math is simple: 2/3rd of the country wanted someone else. That is a massive legitimacy gap that explains why the 'Renewed Hope' agenda is struggling with public trust. Governance is hard when the majority feels unheard.

“From the official figures, 2/3rd of Nigerians did not vote for President Tinubu. They voted for Atiku, Peter Obi and Kwankwaso. Election managers should never know the outcome of elections, but now, it’s all about ‘I know you, we can make it happen’ ” -Former INEC Director, Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi,

@dammiedammie35 2/3 is 66% and 1/3 is 33%. A secondary school mathematician will tell you that if 3 candidates had 2/3 of the votes and one had 1/3 of the votes. It is likely the 1/3 won the election

But all you all care about is giving PO a chess board or honoring a presidential invite. See, even as a PO supporter I’m telling you all to REST. ZUKWANUIKE. Allow people support who they want to support and do whatever they want. And honoring an invite doesn’t equal to supporting him. This behavior from some of us is disgusting abeg. I support PO but don’t see anything wrong with honoring an invitation from the Villa. Some of you criticizing him go honor that invite if na you them invite. REST!!

I’ve stayed away from saying this for a while because I didn’t want it to be reduced to “tribal talk.” But at some point, we have to be honest about what’s happening in our politics. During the years of Muhammadu Buhari, many Yoruba who supported him based on political alignment, not ethnicity, we were repeatedly insulted and branded “Fulani slaves.” We took it. We argued. We defended our choices. Fast forward to 2023. The Yoruba vote did not move as one block: Some supported Bola Ahmed Tinubu Some supported Atiku Abubakar Some supported Peter Obi In fact, the division was so real that: Tinubu lost Lagos to Obi Atiku took Osun Obi made historic gains right in the Southwest That is not tribal voting. That is democratic plurality. At the same time, the Southeast voted almost unanimously for one candidate. That’s their right, every region makes its political choices based on its interests. But here’s where the contradiction becomes impossible to ignore: The same people who loudly reduced others to “Fulani slaves” for 8 years are now quick to label Yoruba voters as “tribal bigots” simply for making different political choices. So what exactly is the standard? If voting your brother Peter Obi is acceptable for the Igbos, it must be acceptable for others too. You don’t get to moralize democracy only when it favors your side. Let’s be clear: Disagreeing politically is normal. Voting differently is normal. Even regional alignment is normal in a country like Nigeria. What is not normal and should not be normalized is weaponizing ethnic labels anytime people don’t vote the way you expect. Because the moment we reduce every political decision to tribe, we stop having a country and start having camps. And no one wins in that kind of setup. Selah. #deprofwrites #alarapewrites

Crime has no tribe, justice has no ethnicity. Following Matthew Chukwuemeka Adebiyi’s extradition to the UK, his international passport and official records confirm that his mother is Igbo and his father is Yoruba. Portraying murder and drug trafficking charges as tribal issues is both inaccurate and potentially harmful. Matthew did not flee the UK because of his ethnicity. Joshua Boadu's murder was not motivated by ethnic factors. The Nigeria Police Force did not facilitate this extradition on the basis of ethnicity. Justice has been served. Tribal identity should not influence legal proceedings. In this case, the facts are clear: a fugitive, a court order, and accountability.

He fled to Nigeria, thinking he would be safe. He was wrong. In June 2018, Joshua Boadu was murdered in the United Kingdom. The suspect, Matthew Chukwuemeka Adebiyi, escaped to Nigeria, thinking that being far away would keep him from facing justice. For six years, he believed he was safe. But those years would be his last spent in freedom. After UK authorities made a formal extradition request in September 2024, INTERPOL NCB Abuja responded quickly. Adebiyi was arrested on January 23, 2025, and extradition proceedings started at the Federal High Court in Lagos. On February 16, 2026, Justice A.O. Faji approved the extradition. On April 14, 2026, at Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos, he was handed over to UK law enforcement. He finally faced the justice he had tried to avoid. He also faces charges of supplying crack cocaine in the UK between 2017 and 2018. Joshua Boadu's family waited nearly eight years for this day. Today, the Nigeria Police Force and INTERPOL NCB Abuja made it possible. The Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, has a clear message: Nigeria is not a hiding place. It is not a refuge for fugitives. No border, distance or time will stop the Force from working with the global community to deliver justice. No matter where you go, justice will find you.
