At the #Delphi Economic Forum, speaking on the panel on EU enlargement in the #WesternBalkans, I underlined that for #Albania, European accession is not simply and only about alignment with the acquis, but also its effective implementation and the delivery of real results. We are advancing on key reforms and strengthening institutions in parallel: building a more professional and merit-based public administration, a more independent and professional justice system, and increasingly digitalised public services. Every step forward in the #negotiations is matched by concrete implementation capacity on the ground. Our objective remains the same: to close all negotiation chapters by 2027 and be ready for EU membership by 2030. This is and should remain a merit-based process, where progress must reflect tangible results and be met with timely decisions that preserve the credibility of #enlargement. Enlargement is a shared #European project and a strategic investment in the continent’s security, stability, and cohesion. We must maintain and sustain the momentum with all Member States, including in particular with partners like #Greece who understand the region and its importance, and translate commitments into concrete deliverables. #Shqipëria2030 #Horizon2030

🇦🇱 I was honored to represent #Albania at the 5th edition of the #Antalya Diplomacy Forum, from 17–18 April 2026. In times of crisis, #diplomacy remains our strongest tool to foster dialogue, build trust, and advance peace. I had two full and highly productive days, which provided an excellent opportunity for numerous bilateral meetings with partners along the EU #accession path, reaffirming #Albania’s unwavering commitment to regional cooperation and to a shared #European future. I was also pleased to participate in a panel discussion and to present the Albanian perspective on “Harvesting Peace in the #WesternBalkans,” underlining that regional cooperation is not merely the right choice for the all Western Balkans countries , it is a necessity for stability, resilience, and European integration. In this context, I emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue, mutual trust, and concrete deliverables that bring our societies closer together. In addition, I took part for the first time in the Balkans Peace Platform, initiated by #Turkish Foreign Minister @HakanFidan, an important initiative aimed at strengthening regional dialogue and reinforcing a culture of #peace across our neighborhood. If one were to summarise the discussions over these two days, it would be something like this: In an increasingly fragmented and unpredictable world, diplomacy remains the primary instrument of stability and only through sustained #cooperation, strategic #dialogue, and collective #responsibility can we turn uncertainty into #stability and deliver lasting peace, investing in a better future for all. -- Isha i nderuar të përfaqësoja #Shqipërinë në edicionin e 5-të të Forumit të Diplomacisë të #Antalias, më 17–18 prill 2026. Pata dy ditë të plota dhe shumë produktive, të cilat ofruan një mundësi të shkëlqyer për zhvillimin e shumë takimeve dypalëshe me partnerë në rrugën e #anëtarësimit në BE, duke rikonfirmuar angazhimin e palëkundur të #Shqipërisë për bashkëpunimin rajonal dhe për një të ardhme të përbashkët #evropiane. Isha gjithashtu i kënaqur të merrja pjesë në një panel diskutimi dhe të paraqisja perspektivën tonë mbi “Bërja e Paqes në #BallkaninPerëndimor”, duke theksuar se bashkëpunimi rajonal nuk është thjesht zgjedhja e duhur për vendet e rajonit, por një domosdoshmëri për stabilitetin, qëndrueshmërinë dhe integrimin evropian. Në këtë kuadër, nënvizova rëndësinë e dialogut të vazhdueshëm, besimit të ndërsjellë dhe rezultateve konkrete që afrojnë shoqëritë tona. Gjithashtu, mora pjesë për herë të parë në Platformën e Paqes për Ballkanin, një nismë e ndërmarrë nga Ministri i Jashtëm i Turqisë @HakanFidan, e cila synon forcimin e dialogut rajonal dhe promovimin e një kulture #paqeje në rajonin tonë. Nëse do të tentoja të përmblidhja shkurtimisht diskutimet e shumta e të larmishme të këtyre dy ditëve, do të mund të thoja: në një botë gjithnjë e më të fragmentuar dhe të paparashikueshme, diplomacia mbetet instrumenti kryesor i stabilitetit dhe vetëm përmes #bashkëpunimit të qëndrueshëm, #dialogut strategjik dhe #përgjegjësisë kolektive mund ta kthejmë pasigurinë në #stabilitet dhe të sigurojmë një paqe të qëndrueshme, duke investuar në një të ardhme më të mirë për të gjithë. #ADF2026 #Meet4Diplomacy

Very pleased to reconnect at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026 with a friend, former colleague, and distinguished diplomat, Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, @DicarloRosemary The world we live in—and the current state of multilateralism—leave no shortage of issues to discuss, from global security dynamics to regional stability in the Western Balkans, as well as the importance of strengthening cooperation and upholding a rules-based international order. I reaffirmed Albania’s strong partnership with the #UnitedNations and our commitment to the principles of the UN Charter, alongside the need to address evolving threats to peace and security. We continue to work closely with the UN Country Team in #Albania in key areas that directly support our top national priority—EU accession under #Horizon2030—particularly in the context of Albania’s upcoming Voluntary National Review in July. #ADF2026

A very useful exchange with Martin Sklenár, Senior Fellow of GLOBSEC and former Minister of Defense of Slovakia, and Milan Solar, Chief External Relations Officer of GLOBSEC, on the margins of the #Antalya Diplomacy Forum. We exchanged on the preparations for the upcoming #GLOBSEC Forum in #Prague and on ways to further strengthen our cooperation on regional and European security. We discussed shared challenges, from geopolitical tensions to hybrid threats, and reaffirmed #Albania’s unwavering commitment to a stronger, more resilient #European security architecture—anchored in transatlantic unity, closer regional cooperation, and continued alignment with our #Euro-Atlantic partners. #ADF2026

This has been a good and significant week at the United Nations and our work on non-discrimination and equality; advancing the empowerment and rights in the normative multilateral spaces. I met grateful for the meeting with the co-facilitators of the HLPF 2026 Ministerial Declaration, the Permanent Representatives of #Albania H.E. Suela Janina and #SierraLeone, H.E. Michael Imran Kanu, to exchange views on the direction of the Declaration and how UN Women can best support the process at this early stage @AlMissionUN

At #CPD59, Albania🇦🇱 was proud to co-host @UNFPA side event on population intelligence and risk-ready futures 🌍 We shared lessons learned from the 2019 earthquake, highlighting: 🔹the importance of data 🔹inclusion 🔹protection of the most vulnerable in times of crisis.

Albania🇦🇱stands for freedom of navigation and decisive multilateral action @UN . At today's GA plenary debate on the use of veto underlined that the freedom of navigation is a pillar of global order. Blocking the Strait of Hormuz threatens global stability, energy security, and millions of lives. Inaction is not an option. 🇦🇱 supports🇧🇭resolution to protect navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and regrets the lack of consensus at the Security Council due to vetoes. At a time of crisis, vetoes should not silence collective responsibility. The Strait of Hormuz must remain open, and international law must prevail.

From AI to digital health, technology can transform lives, but only if it’s inclusive, ethical, and accessible. At the High-Level Panel on Population, Technology and Research in the Context of Sustainable Development Albania 🇦🇱 calls for bridging the digital divide and investing in data-driven solutions so no one is left behind. #SDGs #CPD59

🇦🇱🦅 Ministri Hoxha në Samitin e Diasporës: Gjuha shqipe është ADN-ja jonë. Ajo nuk është thjesht mjet komunikimi, është kujtesë, identitet, është vazhdimësi. Nëse gjuha jonë, e cila u ka rezistuar shekujve në kohë shumë më të vështira, dobësohet sot kur jemi më të ditur, më të fortë dhe më të lidhur se kurrë, atëherë përgjegjësia është vetëm e jona. Ky është mesazhi i kërkesës legjitime të studentëve në Maqedoninë e Veriut, për të ushtruar të drejtat e tyre në gjuhën amtare. Këtë duhet ta kemi parasysh edhe për mësuesit, vullnetarët dhe organizatorët në diasporë, që mbajnë gjallë gjuhën tonë çdo fundjavë, në çdo klasë, në çdo aktivitet. Ata meritojnë jo vetëm mirënjohje; meritojnë shumë mbështetje konkrete dhe për këtë jam tërësisht i organizuar së bashku me gjithë ekipin tim në Ministrinë e Punëve të Jashtme e jam i sigurtë, me gjithë qeverinë shqiptare.
