@gabrielkuettel So faking metrics and hype it up pays off. We should do the same. This market is brutal and just the strongest who doesnt always play by the rules survive. Push block time to the limits, give us liquidity and let bots shift them arround. Maybe let votes somehow count as txns 😅

Still a massive W for Solana. They're executing a masterclass in pivoting from defi to enterprise adoption. A lot of us, myself included, bet big on "institutional ready" narratives too early (CBDCs and muh ISO 20022) and frankly dismissed Solana as a meme casino. Solana instead leaned in to where all the energy was and nailed PMF in degen/defi/memes, which paid off bigly by drawing in millions of users and billions in TVL. User growth > whitepapers. Velocity > vision decks. Now they're leveraging their massive war chest won in the last cycle to secure their spot in this cycle. Saying that PayPal, Stripe, Visa, and now WU choosing Solana for payments is purely "pay to play" is pure cope. This cycle is where the real integration begins. Some of these partnerships may prove to be ephemeral, many of them will be permanent. This isn't a doom post. It's not winner take all. Trillions are on the table and we'll need a constellation of blockchains to power all of it. Algorand in particular has distinct advantages that should become apparent once hype meets scale. But I'd encourage everyone to look at what Solana is doing and take notes.

@patrickbennett And I'm sure they are going to directly sell it as a source of income.. So reduced APR for node runter, stealing node intensives and creating sell pressure. Nice job... and I'm sure they are gone as soon as incentives stops. I dont get it.

This really ticks me off. If any company finds value on this stuff being on-chain then they should buy algo themselves and use it! Instead the foundation breaks their word on their algo being used for staking rewards - diminishing the APR of all node runners and says nothing about it, to give a $700K/year handout to a company w/ $50k in their treasury and who could obviously care less about using a blockchain. At the same time, builders that have been here for years struggling to just keep on going are denied even a fraction of this. This isn't helping us - this is hurting us. Another PlanetWatch or FIFA - a temporary bribe - on top of betrayal by the foundation. The product should have been built first, open-sourced and submitted for retroactive funding via XGov - the same thing everyone else is expected to use for funding right now. 😏 but maximum you'd be able to get would be $36k for that proposal...

@defidevcorp You should Research 'finality' in Solana again. Block time is in Miliseconds. But finality is far longer 😉 What you describe would be instant finality. Which for example Algorand has (block time == finality)

When users are priced out and transactions can’t clear, the network might as well be offline. Under high load, blockchains must remain accessible, affordable, and reliable. After nearly 20 months of uninterrupted uptime, even through the network’s busiest moments, it’s clear that Solana’s continued upgrades and optimizations have paid off. No other chain comes close to handling global value transfer at this scale. The takeaway is simple: only Solana stays fast, cheap, and usable, even when global markets melt down.
