@cybxrartist As someone who worked in production I can tell you that it is often the ONLY way these projects see the light of day. The "yt saviour" they insert into stories that werent there before, lightening of characters, random love interests. Studios are nasty, and often get their way.

Something to be said about authors that write darkskin characters have a full understanding of the colorism and mistreatment they face then cast a lightskin person for the movie adaptations
