The best way to learn something new is to believe you do not know it all. Debate is to share knowledge and be open to independently reviewing your opposition's claims. I am proud to be an independent since 1992. My viewpoints are my own. Our accumulated deficits (nearing $38 trillion) are a result of bipartisan failure to govern. This run up in debt began in 2003. That's 22 years now of not learning anything or proposing anything to reduce it. No matter which party you support this is unsustainable, the GAO has stated this since I began to really understand the problem we face in 2010 when the debt stood at $13.6 trillion. Our first mission is to understand the word "Unsustainable" Our second mission is to regulate spending within a reasonable means, and deficit spending only in time of war and to avoid wars. I'd say hold spending to 96% of revenue collected, not projected. Run a very lean government. Our third mission is to make certain we maximize tax revenue without placing undue hardships on tax payers. I'd recommend a consumption tax, with a flexible rate on key economic indicators. Give W-2 taxpayers 100% of their pay, and tax only what they consume. The underground economy would finally begin to pay something in. As always I'm open for debate, from politicians or just my fellow Americans. I can be swayed in my education by logically crafted viewpoints. We are nearing our 250 anniversary if the Declaration of Independence. What are your grievances and solutions for the next 250 years?

All right, I’m just gonna come out and say it… Some of the dumbest human beings to ever walk the face of the earth are currently representing us in Congress. How on earth did this happen?

@MikeBales Take trip to glacier national park and into banff Canada. For me, it was a different form of paradise after living on Hawaii.

One of the best trips of my entire life was the one I took with my wife to Grand Teton National Park while visiting Yellowstone three years ago. The sheer majesty of those towering, jagged peaks and the incredible wildlife stopped me in my tracks — it was breathtaking. I still think about it often, and I can’t wait to go back soon.

The more data centers we build, the richer we all get. How? - Datacenters are intelligence creating machines. - Intelligence is used to solve problems (curing disease, self-driving safer cars, humanoid robots.) - Because they will easily do the cognitive work of millions of scientists in many fields that now have thousands if not hundreds of scientists, the amount of co-development of science will likely cause an Industrial Revolution. - Every single industrial revolution so far multiplied the standard of living of the last. Functionally almost everyone is about to get way way richer. - The more data centers you build, the richer (and quicker to rich) everyone gets. Poorer people especially experience the biggest uplifts with every industrial revolution so far. It’s not complicated. It’s not new. Every technology (language, pen and paper, computers, the internet) that boosted functional net social intelligence caused massive multi-order wealth increasing consequences.

I’ve spent my entire life striving to become the man my mother would be proud of—a husband my wife is honored to call hers, and a father my children are proud to claim as their own. My sole purpose has been to live as a good man, one others can look back on and say he gave everything he had to be a loving son, brother, husband, and father.

"Interstellar travel is impossible." No. What you actually mean is it takes too long for a human lifespan. That's all. That has no bearing on the feasibility of getting assets/payload to another star system which imo is an entirely different conversation and entirely possible.

@chefsevenn I had to sit at the table and if I didn't have it eaten in an an hour, I was banished to my room. Looking back I feel ashamed of fighting over it knowing later how difficult it was just to put food on the table.

President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law in August 2022, which authorized $80 billion in funding over a decade for the Internal Revenue Service. The 87K estimate was over 10 years, but included more than just auditors. If AI is instituted to a augment the ridiculous aging Treasury systems, I can image how quickly audits will be targeted. The agency is underemployed and poorly trained.

@TrumpWon123 @250_Revolution Nope. They no longer have the resources just to audit people for compliance sake. Something on the return must indicate a need for audit or a referral by another source.

@UrDad253 @250_Revolution Of course not, but that is not the IRS's mission. A referral to the IRS for expected fraud from unreported revenues is. Laws in existence today, as it was 40 years ago, require disclosure of any deposit of cash more than 10K. That's the red flag.
