Cybersecurity experts who reviewed the previews told CNN the data appears genuine, matching known output patterns from the NSCC Tianjin facility, which serves over 6,000 clients including defence agencies and aviation firms across China. Oh, this is unbelievable. The edit history on this tweet shows that Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif originally copied and pasted everything he was sent, including: "*Draft - Pakistan's PM Message on X*" Now, obviously, Sharif's own staff don't call him "Pakistan's PM," they would just call him prime minister. The U.S. and Israel, of course, would call him "Pakistan's PM." Would be funny if the fate of the world wasn't hanging in the balance.

Not only has the BBC refused to provide any explanation of what happened here with this dangerous insertion of this demented quote, but the person bylined on the now-altered story, Azad, blocks anyone who asks her about it (a violation of BBC's social media rules).

It's a huge journalistic scandal that the BBC published an obviously shocking purported quote from a 21-year-old in Tehran saying he'd be fine if Trump nukes Iran, then silently removed the quote. Even more so because of the pro-war activism of its "reporter", @GhonchehAzad.

This story is insane. The BBC just changed a direct quote — meaning one of them is a lie. Consider the options: either the BBC lied that someone said they were happy for an atomic bomb to strike their city, or they softened that clearly psychopathic language but kept that quote in as if the source is credible. Either the BBC is manufacturing consent to use atomic bombs, or they’re happy to platform someone else who did so. No sane person says they’re OK being in the city an atomic bomb hits, obviously. That goes without saying. But the BBC thinks this is valid reporting. Western media institutions like this deserve to die.
