@A_dmg04 I don’t know. I wish the Portal could just be gone and all activities could be somewhat relevant like they were and not just drop this legacy gear. You built this game for several years and now you just sunset so much of the content? The vaulted campaigns also need to come back.

I keep saying this and no one seems to get it. Concord was beyond even ET-in-a-landfill levels of disaster. The money and time spent to playercount and shutdown time ratio is unparalleled

@A_dmg04 Why is communication going down when we need it the most? We need a state of the game from the leaders. We need to understand what is going on. Throughout the years you guys always ramped up communication during times like this, but I don’t understand why it’s so quiet now.

We noted yesterday that TWIDs will be more focused on community activations / in-game calendar for a bit. During our somewhat quiet time, are there any activities you’d like to see challenges for? Dungeon runs and Raid challenges are always fun, but would love to hear from you. And of course, we’ll let you know when we’re ramping into more news about the June update.

@A_dmg04 Not really an answer to your question, but at this point I can’t find myself caring about anything in this game. I don’t really at all care about the next expansion even. All I really want is to be able to grind all existing expansion content for relevant rewards again.

@DestinyTheGame It’s just so annoying that you can’t really play all you could play before for worthwhile rewards. If this isn’t fixed completely instead of just the dungeons and raids then I don’t really know if I’ll personally stick around.

@DestinyTheGame The inclusion of tiered gear in only certain activities is mostly why I stopped playing. I never got to finish TFS post campaign quests, and it feels like there is no reason to grind that content now. I hope something will be done about that in that update.

Our next Major Update, Destiny 2: Shadow and Order, is undergoing large revisions and will be delayed. This update is being changed and expanded to include sizable quality-of-life updates and as a result, will also be renamed. This update will now launch on June 9, 2026. We will provide exact details closer to release covering previously announced Weapon Tier Upgrading, but also additions like expanding Tiered Gear to all Raid and Dungeon activities, Pantheon 2.0, Tier 5 stats for Exotic Armors, and more. Through June, we will continue to have routine bug fixes and stability improvements, continued portal modifiers, Guardian Games (March), and the return of a more frequent Iron Banner cadence (April). In terms of communications, we will be focusing on providing you with updates about our live game content, community activations, and general upkeep through the TWID and our Destiny social channels. @PaulTassi @GameAndGander @Forbes Concord was a triple A Sony first party title that peaked at 697 Steam players and was completely shut down after 2 weeks. And I feel like we are downplaying how truly spectacular of a disaster that was if we start throwing the Concord comparison out this easily.

Holy fuck guys we’re not "pushing hard" for or replacing concept artists with AI. We have a team of 72 artists of which 23 are concept artists and we are hiring more. The art they create is original and I’m very proud of what they do. I was asked explicitly about concept art and our use of Gen AI. I answered that we use it to explore things. I didn’t say we use it to develop concept art. The artists do that. And they are indeed world class artists. We use AI tools to explore references, just like we use google and art books. At the very early ideation stages we use it as a rough outline for composition which we replace with original concept art. There is no comparison. I talked about how we use ML here if you would like to know more: gamespot.com/articles/baldu… We've hired creatives for their talent, not for their ability to do what a machine suggests, but they can experiment with these tools to make their lives easier.

@MoofusHasPassed I’m guessing so since this is the normal pricing for Nintendo remasters. If they still wanted it after Skyward Sword and MK8D I’m gonna guess they want it after Galaxy as well. And seeing how both of those also were full price when they were first remastered I’m guessing yes.

I think it is a weird decision to render irrelevant some of the best content you have ever released. I wish you would have a system more akin to Warframe where whatever you play you feel like you are getting something worthwhile out of it.

@Destiny2Team I stopped playing a bit after The Final Shape when all the layoffs happened, and I wanted to go back and finish up my quests and grind that content after playing the new expansion, but I haven’t since the loot is basically legacy loot. So I stopped playing again.

Datto's video made a point about how you don't *have* to grind Caldera to chase efficiency but because of the loot system in place, if you want to get actual good Tier gear, you kind of do? Power means nothing itself, but it's a ticket to even starting that loot chase right now
