We need 50 signatures from members of congregation to secure a postal vote. Given how close the in person vote was and the large number of academics tied up in exam processes we will press for this.

Turns out @UniofOxford will be voting next week on rolling back the abolition of the graduate application fee. Very disappointed - but we will fight it! Reminded of this awesome group of individuals from the 2020 vote.

In 2020, Congregation (the University of Oxford's parliament) voted to abolish the practice of charging £70 to apply to be a graduate student here. In preparing our motion, we gave the university authorities until 2024/25 to abolish the fee. (1/n)

@drdhiggins Yep, I heard nothing directly from this bird. Deliberately and defiantly kept silent. Something about it at the time didn't seem right for meadow pipit but I can't really put my finger on what

@AngusJWilkinson I was leaning towards tree pipit too, especially given the location. I do find the ID hard though, if they're not calling or singing.

#UKbird ID help please. Seen in New Forest, on ~5 foot young pine. Area had gorse, with other interspersed young trees giving way to open heath/moorland. Several species seem possible fits - I have made my mind up - but not too confident. #UKbirding #UKwildlife #BirdID

@drdhiggins Oh, yes the BTO video is good. I have watched it a few times now.

@drdhiggins Well that's the three species I had in mind. There are meadow pipit in wider area but didn't hear them at this exact spot and would kinda expect to hear them. I could hear skylark up high at this spot. Was leaning towards tree pipit...
