I hear what you're saying, but I think it goes a little deeper than that. He was shitting on Israel only six or seven months ago. Publicly stating they had too much influence in the USA, grandstanding it even. And also bragging about not starting any new wars. And then all of a sudden he starts a new war alongside Israel. Surface level optics with any other politician would support what you suggested it was, but I think they have nothing on him because they would used it long ago.
