Fans don't realize why a film trying to be 1:1 with the games will suck. They're different media, it won't work.

Today has shown just how clueless and brain dead alot of Resident Evil "fans" actually are. It's pathetic that there are people crying about there being snow in the new movie, or complaining about it being an original character and story instead of a 1:1 adaptation. (1/6)

I'm gonna' be blunt, after RE4, RE5, RE7, & the upcoming Zach Cregger Resident Evil movie, I am so fucking tired of the "but it's not Resident Evil-" crap. I honestly think Capcom, & indeed I suspect Zach Cregger, have a better understanding of what RE is than many fans do.

an RE movie should never be a straight adaptation of a game. it should be its own unique in-universe side story. that's what made the first movie "pretty okay". game scripts DO NOT translate into film scripts well, at all. so Zach Cregger's version is on the right track.

@Capta1nAsh @xZombieAlix I don't think anyone is able to REALLY change the models of the OG trilogy games, other than slight polygon and texture edits. It's probably due to engine limits.

Irons wanted Sherry's pendant....so he took the whole kid? Why and for what purpose? This is never explained or mentioned in the game at all.

Why did Zach Cregger take on a washed up old franchise like Resident Evil after two successful super original horror standalones? I’m wondering if maybe he played the game as a kid like I did because we’re the same age-ish, and wants to do it justice with some spooky mansion zombies? @CassiBoi @DanielRPK If Cregger wants to make a RE film that takes place in the game canon, like he claims, fine. Several things would need to be changed for that to even work, based on this synopsis. Example 1: Why would it be snowing? The Arklay Mt. outbreak starts in May of '98.

@DanielRPK it would be cool if it was a pseudo prequel to the arklay mountain mansion incident. There were reports of people going missing in the mountains before bravo team got sent to investigate. But i have no faith that they will try to world build in that way.
