Illinois, With the primaries behind us, here’s some real motivation and proof that anyone can build a ground game. I started with listening to @DanSchultz2 of Precinct Strategy as to why we're losing our nation, and how easy it is to fix. From there, I took classes hosted by @IllinoisFreedo1 for the more local issues. That quickly led me to @Awake_IL and several other sharp organizations. Best of all, all of this information is completely free to learn, and you can soak it all up right from your phone or laptop. Once you’ve got that foundation (or even before), start attending your local township / county meetings. Watch how things actually run (or don’t) and look for the gaps where you can step in and help. Since attending my first meeting, I’ve become an appointed Precinct Committeeman (that helps nearby as my precinct has someone working it). I’ve been out knocking doors, getting petitions signed, hanging literature, and planting signs. I’m also working on putting together charitable events that help bring in the community. That’s the beauty of this republic; you don’t need a fancy title to start making an impact. You are the only credential required. Today I got the stamps I ordered so I can mail info packets to high-propensity voters showing them easy ways to get involved (even if they can’t commit to being a PC or more). None of this is “look at me” but I’m a husband, father, church volunteer, and PTA treasurer who started showing up. If I can do it, so can you. I know not everyone can do a lot, but if every one of us does a little, in a smart, coordinated way, we take this state back in a single election cycle. However, if she wants to unite the diverse array of conservatives in IL, then it would be good to see her counter attack the Dems on local news, social media & podcasts.
