John Ruddick MLC - Libertarian
History was made tonight in South Australia. Sarah Game MLC has successfully passed her bill to ban third-trimester abortions in the SA upper house. Congratulations to Sarah Game and Professor Joanna Howe on securing the first pro-life bill to pass a house of parliament in Australia! Premier Peter Malinauskas has now taken the historic step of moving Game’s bill to the lower house for a vote tonight. The pro-abortion establishment is in damage control, knowing full well that most Australians strongly oppose late-term abortions. Our NSW lead candidate, Gemma Noiosi, has a clear promise for the people of New South Wales: 👇 @GemmaNoiosi @ProfJoannaHowe @LibertariansNSW @AusLib4Life @MLCGame

@Australis_Felix True - it’s on a spectrum. There are still some diehard Irish Australians who are antagonistic to our English heritage.

@BWJacksonX For practical political purposes I agree with this…but in reality 4th gen Italian migrants are supporting Italy in the World Cup… There is no such thing as assimilation even with people as similar to us as other Europeans.

A monoculture is a shared culture to which newcomers assimilate. Most people in Australia with Greek & Italian migrant ancestry eventually assimilated by the 3rd or 4th generation. But mass immigration & multiculturalism makes assimilation almost impossible. That is a disaster.

I’m a bit confused and need some help from One Nation supporters about this new “monoculture”. Can you help me out by defining it? What religions are acceptable? Can we still eat banh mi and Chinese takeaway or are they gone? What about Maccas? Is that ok or dirty seppo culture?

@elle_aussie When there is only a small number of people from a group, they have no choice but to assimilate. But when there are huge numbers of them, they can form their own separate societies.

@BWJacksonX What is the point of turning the country into the same thing ppl left? Isn't that what makes us unique? Free to wear & say what we want. Laid back lifestyle. But no everything changes for them laws, language, education. Religion.

@BryanEd71399400 @JoshButler Good for you. But it’s silly to blame a politician for a lack of achievements when that politician has never been in government.

Hanson gets invited to the Press Club, dodges giving detail on policy, gloats with a "highlight" package of all the times she criticised journalists, and still gets many approving headlines Anyone who thought this was ever going to go any other way, I've got a bridge to sell you

@BryanEd71399400 @JoshButler What has the Labor/Liberal consensus achieved over the last 30 years? Unaffordable housing. Expensive energy. Weak productivity growth. Cultural fragmentation. Weak social cohesion. Hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars wasted. You support that record?

I couldn’t help but think of my grandparents during Hanson’s address. They came to Australia with no English and set up a cafe in Adelaide. They contributed so much to the fabric of society, as did all the Greeks who settled there. Shame on Hanson for demonising migrants. #NPC

Data are sparse, but this study reports that at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne “12 abortions over 20 weeks gestation occur each month, with at least one abortion over 24 weeks gestation, for reasons outside of maternal health or fetal anomalies”. link.springer.com/content/pdf/10…

We are a long way away from convincing most Australians to oppose early-term abortions. But I genuinely think most Australians would be horrified if they knew how frequently late-term abortions are performed for “psycho-social” reasons. We can change hearts & minds. And laws.
Dr Joanna Howe@ProfJoannaHowe

Tonight in Adelaide we just passed through the SA upper house the first ever prolife bill ever to pass through an Australian house of parliament. It's humbling to be part of this historic moment, as we move closer to eliminating this scourge from our great country. Even if this one fails to make it all the way, one thing is certain: there is no stopping this movement until every single baby is safe and protected.

@_davidlimbrick I presume it basically means assimilation. When Greeks & Italians came here, most of them eventually assimilated into the prevailing mainstream culture by the third generation. But then we adopted multiculturalism, which explicitly rejects assimilation. That is a disaster.

I watched Pauline Hanson's speech today, there was disappointingly no mention of the Victorian state election , nor any state based policies. And we ARE a multicultural nation. According to her, my parents shouldnt have been allowed to come here because they couldnt speak English

@BWJacksonX @JohnRuddick2 @KatieGrace2022 Is that law based on the belief in an Imaginary Friend or on the scientific testing on crash test dummies in multiple safety tests? Happy-clappers somehow seem unable to follow their Imaginary Friend's rules for themselves, without imposing them on everyone else... Why is that?

@BWJacksonX They are permanent residents who live here. They are not people who live overseas. They work here and pay taxes here. They contribute to Australian society. Foreigners live in a different country. Unfortunately a bank still owns a share of my house.

@BWJacksonX @JohnRuddick2 @KatieGrace2022 If you happy-clappers dont want to have an abortion, that's your choice If you want to follow an Imaginary Friend thats your choice Why do you think you can impose your religious beliefs onto everyone else? You would oppose sharia law being imposed, but are ok for yours to be
