They will do their best to test it, if given the opportunity. How many dead Americans do you think the home front will accept? Because whatever number that is, your plan has to work without hitting it. If you haven't got a number, it's lower than you'd like. As to airpower controlling the battlefield, yes. But unless you then take physical control of the country with boots on the ground, that really is neither here nor there.

If that's the only acceptable outcome, what is the PLAN to deliver it. Trump had no plan (if Iran didn't fold right away), and it shows. It's a chunky country full of mountains and history shows if you kill a few thousand Americans, they'll go home. Look at Trump, with Run Away from Afghanistan deal after just 3000 deaths. You really think he's the guy to motivate the Home Front to accept 20,000, 60,000 deaths?

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) have deployed 2 PCG vessels and 5 fishery patrol vessels to the shoal after Chinese Coast Guard vessels started harassing more than 20 Filipino fishing boats in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the Philippines. A Filipino Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) flight over the area documented 6 China Coast Guard (CCG) vessels, 20 China Maritime Militia (CMM) vessels, and one People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLA Navy) warship carrying out offensive activities in the area.
