Reflections of a Lover of the Elementals Seeking Grace through Introspection and Convivial Connection. Rhythm and Rhyme because they carry Imprints over Time

I wish those muthafuckers learned some natural systems theory: NOWHERE in Nature does random diversity exist- it must always be FUNCTIONAL. Consider that you want a more diverse garden because you've heard that will make it stronger... So you currently just have a lot of celery, because your soil tends to stay moist, which celery likes and, you like celery. Then you hear someone is giving away a bunch of cactus from their garden and you can't resist. Sure, I'll take them, you say, because you do have space still to plant something more. So you starts sticking the cactus in amongst the celery and after a little while notice that they're not growing very well because the ground is too wet. Oh no, I better make some changes so that the ground is drier for the cactus! you think to yourself. So you start digging channels in your garden to drain away the abundant moisture. Now the cactus are doing better, but alas the celery is wilting and weakening. The conditions it was so well suited to have changed and it can no longer flourish in the dryer environment that the cactus like. But I was told that diversity is our greatest strength, you say to yourself and sadly wonder what to do next.

“Dear @POTUS, As a rescued laboratory dog, I’m asking you to please issue an Executive Order, to action the immediate rescue of 2,000 Beagles, incarcerated at the notorious Ridglan Farms, Dane County, Wisconsin. In 2025, Dane County Circuit Court Judge, Rhonda Lanford, found Ridglan Farms GUILTY of violating Wisconsin’s animal cruelty laws, on many accounts, but Dane County’s District Attorney, Ismael Ozanne, is still allowing these criminals to continue. Please help me save my Beagle friends from this terrible situation. Thankfully, the head of the FDA, @DrMakaryFDA, stated only last week that experiments on dogs, and other animals, have a *90% FAILURE RATE* when applied to humans. That’s because animals are treated by veterinarians, not human medical doctors !! Us animals have *very* different biologies from humans. You can watch @DrMakaryFDA’s statement, on the 90% failure of animal-tested drugs, here: x.com/betsyambassado… I know that you love dogs. Please help my friends escape the horrors at Ridglan Farms, quickly. With very loud wooooooofs!” @BetsyAmbassador 🐾❤️ @WhiteHouse FURTHER READING Former State Prosector’s recent article: ctexaminer.com/2026/03/21/whe… @waynehhsiung

Thank you for calling it out—this fertilizer shipping crisis is just the latest proof of how thoroughly our modern food system has screwed us over. When small family farms got swallowed up by giant CAFOs and industrial monocultures, we created an impossible situation: concentrated animals with zero onsite land to grow or cycle their own nutrients. Mistake #1—and a catastrophic one.Real family farms once worked with nature: diverse fields, pastures, and woodlands where animals rotated naturally, turning "waste" from one part of the system into fuel for the next. Organic matter built the soil. Closed loops. No reliance on chemical salts shipped from halfway around the world. Now? We're force-feeding the world with "food" pumped full of synthetic fertilizers, GMOs, antibiotics, growth hormones, and whatever else they inject into the meat and spray on the crops. Nutrient-poor, ultra-processed garbage that we're somehow supposed to accept as progress. And on top of that, we waste about a third of it—literally throwing away a billion meals' worth every single day while supply chains crumble. The critics always whine: "We'll never feed modern populations with traditional methods!" Bullshit. We're not even properly feeding them now—we're just dosing them with dependency and calling it abundance. This war-disrupted fertilizer mess isn't a glitch. It's the bill coming due for decades of misguided arrogance. It's time to burn the script.Bring back real local farms, scattered where people actually live. Rip up the unnecessary asphalt and concrete. Supercharge the soil with compost, biochar, and beneficial microbes. Do this by the thousands—interconnected, resilient networks—and we reclaim true food sovereignty: nutrient-dense, honest food that doesn't leave us hostages to distant wars, corporations, or failing global supply chains.Nature's cycles worked for millennia. We abandoned them at our peril. The "we're screwed" feeling is real—but it's also the wake-up call we've needed. Time to fix it, fiercely.
