Some user feedback @ShopifySupport @harleyf. The new date selecting tool is incredibly cumbersome, over-engineered, and non-intuitive. What use to take about 3 clicks now seems to take 7-8 clicks.

There are three options: 1. Set a minimum budget If your CBO is structured properly with clear ad set organization, you can set a minimum budget percentage for a specific ad set to see if the overall ROAS improves. The exact percentage depends on your risk tolerance and how aggressively you want to test. 2. Pause underperforming ads If one or two ads are monopolizing the budget while delivering subpar performance, you can temporarily pause them to observe how the spend redistributes among the remaining ads. This helps test whether Meta's explore-and-exploit system is functioning optimally. 3. Create a separate campaign Break out the specific group of creatives into a new campaign to test if their performance can surpass that of the current campaign.

Honest question for all the CBO maxis: Let's say you test 100 ads over two weeks & no single ad spends more than $30 What's your next move? Not "mAkE bEtTeR aDs". I want your specific, step by step framework. (I will share mine soon, but I'm trying to see something...)

It’s hard to underestimate how smug Apple is going to be about this in 3 years time. Why on earth did people with zero right or need to do this, pile in. Google I get Amazon -sure Facebook - you sell ads against stuff people provide you for free.

you're probably underestimating how crazy things are

I started a little marketing agency 7 years ago called Homestead, named after the street I grew up on. I had the vision to build something special and looking back now, I think we did exactly that. Today I’m excited to announce that Homestead has been acquired by Verndale (also recently acquired VAAN Group) in an effort to create a DTC growth platform built to support brands across the entire commerce lifecycle. I’m extremely grateful to my business partner @_RileyTrotter for all of the time he’s given this company and all the incredible work that he’s done. Riley took over as CEO a few years ago and Homestead wouldn’t be where we are today without his leadership and pursuit of greatness. I can’t say enough about my other partners @kellybird__ and @jsappington. These two have shown a level of commitment to building this company that is unmatched. Watching them both grow as leaders over the last few years has been nothing short of inspiring. To all our current and past team members, thank you for always giving Homestead and our clients 100% effort. Will forever be grateful to you all for helping us get to where we are today. To all of our clients, thank you for trusting in us to help grow your businesses. This is not an easy task and we have never taken it lightly. As for me, I’m officially stepping out of the agency business, but as most of you know I haven’t been involved in the company for some time as Riley/Kelly/Jacob have been and will continue to lead Homestead for years to come. Expect to see more updates on the brands I’ve been building in weeks to come.

Too early to say for sure if it's conflict-related, click attribution change related or something else but the last 7 days on Meta have been generally 🤮

We've never been given more tools than ever before to do our jobs in marketing. With the proliferation of AI everything should become easier, faster. And yet, I feel more overwhelmed than ever before in my entire adult working life which at this point is going on 18 years. Why? It's the explosion of AI and AI tools and what I should or shouldn't be using / trying / scaling. It's this FOMO of always being behind everyone else because the algos are pushing this style content out the fastest and every podcast, conference, and conversation starts and ends with AI and automation. It also keeps flagging that all yours job will be replaced by AI in 1 year. Combine all this and you have a overworked, stressed-out person trying to do the job they were hired to do, well. But always feel like it isn't enough because "AI." If this is you, know you're not alone. But I wanted to be a voice of reason and calm in the chaos. If you have done ANYTHING in AI, meaning if you even know how to do a prompt in Claude / Gemini / GPT you're already ahead of the pack. Reminder most of these new "tools" are just people with time on their hands trying and testing new ideas. Most embellish, few deliver. So while your feed haunts you with this automation tool, or a doomerism post declares your job is next. Know that for the most part this is mostly BS. The reality is we don't know and all these tools still need an expert running them. Focus on learning the basics and doing it well. Learn small skills in the time you have, but stay focused on what you're good at. I've become fully immersed in the AI side of my business but I'm not building SaaS tools, instead I'm looking for ways to automate tasks I do that I simply think having it automated would equal me being able to do other things (more important things) much better. And I believe that's the main point in all of this. Use AI to automate the things you hate so you can focus on the things you love more. Don't get wrapped up in "the next new thing" and instead just stay focused on your lane and your goals. Before you know it you're spending 6-8 hrs a day doing what you love, lowering your stress and FOMO, and realizing it was all a grift in your head.
