Fast forward about 8 years, and I'm at a friend's wedding. Her best friend is there, and I ask her to dance. As we dance, she tells me how in love that girl was with me. I was just too afraid to tell her in-person, and she probably missed my email.

One time I was dating this girl in High School - ancient history at this point - and I was head-over-heels for her. Way out of my league. We went to a dance together, had some of those awkward not quite romantic interactions.
