@julieroginsky Still ignores the major point. In normal times, the POTUS can not control gas prices. That's controlled by the market supply and demand. The POTUS can try to negotiate more supply, but that's it. Here, Trump's actions directly affected supply, increasing the price. Not the same.

Melania flew on Epstein’s plane so much they named a drink after her. Guess the name. I’ll start, “The Melania Headboard Banger” GO!

@allenanalysis It's bad. The Democratic party will pressure him to withdraw, AND resign. BUT, I'll never understand why that course of action seems so obvious, except when it involves Trump and/or Replublican Representatives. The hypocricy is crazy. Dems, "RESIGN!", GOP, "She's lying!"

🚨MAJOR BREAKING: The woman accusing Eric Swalwell of rape just sat down with CNN. In her own words: “I went to the bathroom. I don’t remember anything after that.” “I can see flashes of that evening. Him on top of me. Me pushing him off. Him grabbing me. It was a lot more aggressive.” She says he refused to stop. This is the leading Democratic candidate for California governor. CNN Investigates corroborated her account with medical records, text messages sent the same week, and interviews with her partner, mother, and two friends. Swalwell’s response was to send her a cease-and-desist letter the day after CNN contacted his campaign. One of his own staffers quit immediately after CNN sent questions to his office. He is still running for governor.

@DanielMillerEsq Also, with Trump, a promise is a lie that just hasn't happened yet. Anyone commiting crimes, thinking they'll receive a pardon, need to consider that, as well as if his health or political failings will cut his term short before pardons are issued.

@chucktodd There is a HUGE difference between pardons on the way out when the President Elect is threatening to charge people with Treason, with no cause, and announcing, "if you break the law for me l, I'll pardon you", a little over a year into your term. Don't pretend they're the same.

Perhaps Trump would have done this regardless, but let’s not forget Biden created this pre-emptive pardon precedent. The only good news that might come out of this pardon corruption: we will get a bipartisan supported Constitutional amendment to create a Congressional nullification process for all presidential pardons.

Most of you are still misunderstanding what David Schwartz meant when he said “$XRP can’t be cheap.” He wasn’t talking about your bag. He was explaining how the system actually works. If a bank needs to move $10M, it doesn’t care what $XRP costs. At $1 → it uses more XRP At $1,000 → it uses less XRP Same $10M gets moved either way. That’s the part people keep missing. The network isn’t built around price. It’s built around moving value fast with enough liquidity to handle the flow. When he says “can’t be cheap,” he’s talking about scale. If $XRP is handling serious volume, liquidity has to match it. That’s market structure. You’re thinking like an investor. The system uses $XRP like infrastructure. Two completely different lenses.

@Ossanaquest @spectatorindex I didn't agree with Biden's decision, but there's a big differerence between pardons on the way out, and the offer of, "if you break the law for me, "I'll pardon you". Funny part is Trump never keeps promises, and they of all people should know that.

@MrNathan_Hale @CinemaTweets1 @jaewhybe Bullshit. There are many "offensive" comedy movies and series on streaming services. They just can't fill theaters for a comedy film right now. Has more to do with audience viewing preference than studio fear of being offensive.

Anchorman is 22 years old but still holds up incredibly well. I miss this era of comedy. I think studios have put more of their focus on horror films and less focus on comedies like this in the last handful of years. I still hold out hope that comedy will rise again in Cinema.

@CinemaTweets1 Just my humble opinion. I go to theaters to see things I want to be engrossed in. The magic of being part of that world. High action, dramas, sci-fi, and horror are suited for that. There are plenty of great comedy movies released on streaming services, and I'm fine with that.

Follow this thread. Most likely, and of course, all speculation right now, this is why Melania did her 6 min statement today. Amanda Ungaro was brought here as a 17-year-old model. She flew to NYC on Epstein's private plane. Paolo Zampolli, the modeling agent who allegedly introduced Melania to Trump in 1998, fathered Ungaro's child. They were engaged in an ugly custody battle. Zampolli leaned on ICE and his Trump connections to DEPORT Ungaro. Zampolli also allegedly represented Melania when she was a model...

You mean the woman that never won an election and had to be APPOINTED because the DNC knew she’d never be able to win the Democratic Primary? The woman who is incapable of getting through a single topic coherently? The woman who blew millions on celebrity endorsements because no one knows what she actually stands for because she can’t articulate a single position? The only cope here is YOURS.

It’s sad to see how hard it is for ppl to admit they were wrong. It’s not a big deal. I voted for Trump 3X. Had high hopes. His presidency has been an objective disaster. Covering up Epstein, war w/ Iran. Maybe he lied, or got blackmailed, but it’s not hard to say what is true.

Company donated steel to ballroom, then got tariff exemption, per NYT.
Ana Swanson@AnaSwanson

@lukebroadwater President Trump said in October that he had been offered a donation of steel worth $37 million, though he did not name the donor. That announcement came just two days before the White House announced a tariff exemption that would benefit ArcelorMittal's Canadian plant.

@AdamKinzinger Same. As the Trump admin sees Hungary as the model for the future of the US, a loss, possibly followed by election denial, followed by revolt, would be a solid lesson for our future.
