Candida infections can protect you from Heavy Metals. So possibly Candida infections are defense mechanisms against toxic loads. They can act as a sponge against heavy metals. When I first deep dove metals and chelation, one of the first common symptoms I saw a lot of metal burdened folks have was candida and gut issues. Almost everyone seemed to state they had candida or IBS resolve after treating metals. @BioavailableNd already shows how nickel is almost directly correlated with IBS and we know metals in the gut wreck motility, mucosal layer integrity, and biome balance. I would look into metals if you have consistent gut issues, candida, SIBO, etc especially if you treat it and then it comes back. Happy Friday.
