@GamerHijabi @Bungie Was never clear what his role was within the bungie/destiny community, but appeared he had far more influence than just social media. He got extremely laser focused on PvP (himself, as a player), at exactly the same time bungie began unwanted and disastrous sbmm changes in 2022.

Hey @Bungie Why am I blocked by this guy? I spent $100 for Edge of Fate on Playstation. I have been playing Destiny 2 since the beta. I am one of the few people left making Destiny content. I am wearing Destiny 2 socks. And I am blocked by the community manager. I don't think I have ever interacted with this guy and yet he went on a blocking spree? I am not the only one. So very inclusive of you.

“We need to build momentum” “We're listening” “we're doing” (Isso é um resumo de como me sinto)

@noahkaufmanmd @DrCasteelEM Yes. The dramatic improvement in documentation compared to decades prior has also made them far less successful or common. The reality is that a successful medmal case at this point requires genuine massive failure to meet the standard of care, or extreme negligence.

Almost all of those lawsuits don’t get picked up by attorneys and the ones that do lose really quickly. I’ve been a med mal expert witness for over 10 years, and it has changed my understanding and perception around the law in medicine and how we practice greatly. It has honestly made me a much better physician. Most of the real lawsuits come from anchoring bias or confirmation bias and bad outcomes that were prospectively avoidable.

Something the general public doesn’t realize about doctors is just how paralyzing the fear of lawsuits is as a factor with being “stingy” with prescribing control substances, particularly outside of their Relatively fee indications that are clearly standard of care. Many times the doc isn’t being intentionally malignant, often they know the med may help but they are so scared of getting sued. Ask any doctor who’s been named in a lawsuit and they will tell you how it forever changed how they practice and prescribe just to avoid ever being in that situation again. And this doesn’t mean there aren’t doctor who are actually dismissive and gaslighting, they def exist. But the medmal risk is a huge factor here more often than not. Especially for young docs who just started and don’t want to end up on the wrong end of a multimillion dollar lawsuit or 5+ years of legal battle hell. Sadly all it takes is one fall/car accident and major head trauma or accidental overdose after one of these scripts and you almost certainly will get sued even if you feel the prescription was what’s best for the patient and within the standard of care. Even if the patient never would’ve pursued legal action the families often will.

one time i moved and so i had to get a new doctor and i was like “hey like once a month i really can’t sleep and my last doctor prescribed me this thing to help can i please have a new prescription?” and he was like “ohhhh well now that you asked for it i can’t give it to you” i was like “…well i asked for it bc my last doctor gave it to me. how am i supposed to go about getting things that i have previously taken??” and he was like *shrug* i was like “listen i know you can literally look at my pharmacy record and see that i pick it up like once a year bc i actually don’t even like it, i just need it to sleep sometimes” and he was like “yep i see that. but i can’t give it to you bc you asking for it is drug-seeking behavior!” so then i just had to live with intermittent insomnia until i could get it from mexico.

For over 20 years now I thought that I had to work from the hospital as an emergency room physician. I needed someone to buy me the medications, and give me the space and buy the needles and all the gear. Now I see that was just an illusion and I can do it all on my own.

The guy just landed a spacecraft on a comet — one of the most impressive scientific achievements in years. His reward? A public struggle session because his bowling shirt had scantily clad women on it. Helen Andrews points out the quiet cost of institutional feminization: HR departments now hunt down any maverick personality and stamp it out. We’re losing innovators we’ll never even know about, all because someone focused on the shirt instead of the comet. This is how wokeness actually works. Have you seen real excellence get punished for something trivial like this?

@newstart_2024 It’s not an either/or. His shirt was in poor taste. To only focus on that instead of his achievement was also in poor taste (and moreso).

Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) is currently ~9x safer than the average human driver Because of this massive safety advantage, auto insurance providers like Lemonade are now offering Tesla owners up to a 50% discount on their per-mile premiums when FSD is engaged Choosing Tesla FSD driving is not just safer, but it also directly saves you money

@MySimpleAss @KrutikaKuppalli There’s no mention of race. It’s a discussion of the proportion of non us citizens… many American residents are non white and a proportion of fmg’s are white.

@Cay_Zone @KrutikaKuppalli It’s absolutely racist when you know that the reason for a high foreign rate is because American students aren’t even trying to match there. Foreign students are only taking what Americans are declining.

Imagine being a physician who has taken the Hippocratic Oath—to do no harm, act in patients’ best interest, ensure justice, respect every person, and uphold integrity Then you go on social media and spew racist rhetoric toward newly matched medical students who will soon be your colleagues. That behavior violates every one of those principles.

Honestly, as someone who has traveled a lot, India is the best country I have ever traveled to. It’s incredible. I will have been here for 9 days when I leave, and there is still so much to see and do. My experience has been amazing and India is portrayed negatively in the media as a place Amercians should avoid, but I realize a lot of that is completely made up. The people, food, culture and hospitality culture are just incredible. I have felt safe and comfortable the entire time I have been here and India will truly be the next big super power. This country has incredible potential and you have to see it yourself to understand because the media only makes it out to be 3rd world. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Indian people are the nicest people I have ever met. I am very grateful for my time in India. I have enjoyed it so much and I hope I can come back every year. Next time I want to visit South India. I have tried to do as much as possible these last 9 days but there is still so much to see and do. All good things come to an end. I’ll be back (hopefully soon). I love India. My misconceptions have been corrected. I have nothing but nice things to say. 🇮🇳

Her name was Leonie, she was a 13-year-old Austrian girl. While she was out with friends, 3 Afghan immigrants secretly put 11 ecstasy pills in her drink. Stunned and unable to defend herself, she was taken to the house of one of the three. The ecstasy dose was way too high, the girl started overdosing but the 3 immigrants, completely indifferent to her suffering, began to undress her and took turns raping her, putting their hands around her neck, strangling her. All of it recorded by themselves on a mobile phone video. That’s how Leonie died, naked, in atrocious suffering, while the beasts raped her. The autopsy would later confirm the cause of death was triple overdose and asphyxiation. When they were done, they wrapped the body in a carpet and dumped it roadside, under a tree. The girl’s body was found the next morning by some passers-by, wearing only her underwear and with clear strangulation marks on her neck. One of the perpetrators fled to the United Kingdom, but was quickly tracked down in a hotel and extradited, the 3 Afghans were sentenced: - Zubaidullah R. life imprisonment; - Ali H. 19 years in prison; - Ibraulhaq A. 20 years in prison. During the closing arguments, the Public Prosecutor told the court she was “stunned” by what the defendants said throughout the proceedings, stating that “there is not a trace of remorse”.
