@RevengeofCave It's actually because the show had reached syndication which is when most shows stop production. They reached the episode count and likely didn't know if the show was continuing. The reason S3 is so short is for the same reason. They reached the syndication threshold

It was waaaaaay too early. The problem is that Hasbro assumed the show had run its course by then, when it obviously didn't, so they wanted to end on a nice note.

Ngl this unova discorse is proof we don't deserve a game with every pokemon obtainable because if you can't handle a dex of exclusively 156 new pokemon, how are you going to handle 1000+ existing pokemon without defaulting to only 4% of it the whole game?

@ToxicWeave In a more literal sense, every pokemon is "obtainable" in Unova (be it through transfer from previous games) but you can never "obtain" every pokemon in one game since Sword and Shield. Which is all anybody was every complaining about

@ToxicWeave I'm saying that it has never been the case where every pokemon is obtainable. The whole "problem" with dexit was that now you're unable to transfer your pokemon in (which was always postgame) to have in your party or to use competitively if it's not in that gen's mainline

@ToxicWeave That has never been the case and the difference that started in Sword and Shield that people were complaining about is the inability to transfer them in at the postgame
