@DavidHeadPhd @DrChrisGrocott Why would you even add a citation to something that doesn't have to do with your point? I mean surely to quote or paraphrase from it you had to have read it, and if you didn't do that why would you cite it in the first place?
English

@DrChrisGrocott It's not even that you should have read everything. You just need to check that it's real!
English

@TwoToneShoes Power scaling should be what you do when you smoke a blunt and ask "would King Kong beat Darth Vader in a fight" to get some laughs from the group and if you take it any more serious than that you're doing it wrong imo
English

@braggnikreverse My goat Pikasprey did a novel challenge run trying to beat Pokemon blue with just one ditto and now there's an entire channel dedicated to trying to beat Pokemon with just one single pokemon (like Pidgey, or even Mewtwo wow) and it's like "can I do it?" "Yeah, probably."
English

@blastiquen @CometX_ing I work in audio, it really sounds half-baked at best, like he recorded in his bathroom and whatever their solution is makes him sound like he's in a completely different space than everybody else on screen at worst. It is not a good "robot" filter.
English

@blastiquen @CometX_ing My first thought was "oh it's a pilot and Schlatt doesn't have a good setup" to "oh... is he supposed to sound like a robot? They could have done a better job with that." And that's been my feeling sense. Sometimes the inconsistent room reflection still makes me think the former
English

I genuinely have no clue how people think Jschlatt just has a bad mic. He’s voicing a robot, of course it’s an added effect.

@amfurney @neetrockstar The historical context for parallel fits sounding bad was actually because it's very limiting in four-part harmony, specifically in a SATB configuration, once writing got away from that specific musical context people didn't care and use them frequency as a layer of consonance
English

@M_Raichous @CometX_ing If that was their intent I don't think they went far enough. Iron Giant is an example of a good, echoey and tinny voice filter. It's easy enough to do. most of the time it just sounds like Schlatt is in a different room than everybody else in the scene.
English

@Chromypone @CometX_ing It still sounds like a robotic voice, just of a different kind
Kaboodle is hollow on the inside, it makes sense he'd sound echoy and tinny
English

@CometX_ing I and many people did not. I quite literally did think it was Schlatt recording with a bad mic because it's a bad job sounding like anything but a tinny poor quality mic. I'm sure it was intentional but the reason people are talking is that it really wasn't intentional enough
English

@Chromypone I clocked it immidiately. Like no, its not the same old metalic filter people are used to, but it’s still clearly meant to be a robotic voice.
English

@ChequyLion @UltraNosk If that was their goal then they really need to go listen to like, any example of sound design done to sound robotic for a voice in the last 2 decades cause right now it just sounds like he's recording on a cheap USB microphone in an untreated room
English

@UltraNosk It's a filter to make him sound robotic. It's very clearly an artistic choice since he's the hollow robot character.
Genuinely not sure how anyone thinks it's a technical error. Nor how anyone finds the pacing too hard to follow or finds the designs salacious
Every post I see:

English

I can’t tell if this is a creative choice or if they didn’t give Jschlat an actual voice acting set up
