Rock bottom never felt so good! Alongside Shirley Contracting and Clark Foundations, the Clark Water team celebrated the removal of 30,000 cubic yards of soil and rock to reach 48 feet below grade at the Noman M. Cole, Jr. Water Recycling Facility Raw Wastewater Pumping System Rehabilitation and Replacement, B4 Pump Station project in Lorton, Virginia. This milestone follows the successful, high-speed relocation of 400 linear feet of critical wastewater piping and 3,000 linear feet of electrical ductbank. Through close collaboration with Fairfax County, the active facility continues to operate at full capacity throughout construction. #ClarkBuildsVA

The San Francisco Public Utility Commission (@MySFPUC) – Water Division Headquarters Complex team is making a huge splash in San Francisco, recently celebrating the topping out of the new administration building on this nine-acre campus! 💧 Steel erection moved quickly throughout the start of this year, with our crews setting a project record by placing 105 pieces in just one day. #ClarkBuildsSF

72 blasts and nine months later, the excavation of the inverted utility siphon at the @Amtrak Frederick Douglass Tunnel – Southern Approach is complete! 💥 This complex effort required constructing two shafts up to 85 feet deep and mining a 345-foot tunnel beneath the active Northeast Corridor in Baltimore. Relocating critical city utilities deep below the future Frederick Douglass Tunnel south approach structure ensures they remain protected throughout all upcoming installation efforts. The Clark/@StacyWitbeck team collaborated with Atkinson Construction (@AtkinsonBuilds) and Clark Foundations to utilize controlled drilling and blasting, along with a robust support system of secant piles, rock bolts, and shotcrete, to complete this work without disrupting rail service. #ClarkBuildsMD

Behind the Fence at the Eastvale Civic Center in Eastvale, California (@CityEastvaleCA) 🔨 Our team is making significant progress on this 137,000-square-foot project, which marks the city's first major vertical construction. Our team successfully topped out the city hall with all American-made steel within the first five months and is now moving on to work on the police station and library structures. Once complete, this multi-building campus will provide a new library, a public park, and essential civic infrastructure to the local community. #ClarkBuildsCA

The sky’s the limit for our team! 🚁 At the end of February, Clark successfully completed a high-precision helicopter lift to set the third generator at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (@MedStarGUH) in Washington, DC. After over a year of planning and coordination with 15+ hospital departments, the team executed this installation using a sky crane to minimize disruptions to active hospital operations. #ClarkBuildsDC

Clark Civil team members recently gave back to their community by upgrading the new Arts & Crafts Deck at @YMCACampLetts in Edgewater, Maryland. This collective effort led the YMCA Camp Letts to recognize Ben Griffin with the Volunteer of the Year Award, a testament to the skill and heart our team members bring to every project. Whether we are delivering complex infrastructure or supporting local youth programs, we are committed to building better communities both on and off the jobsite.

Last week, CFP joined Stonebridge, @amazon, Mayor Alyia Gaskins, and the City of Alexandria to break ground at 5001 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia. This 630,000-square-foot office-to-residential conversion will breathe new life into a building that has stood empty for nearly two decades, bringing 377 affordable housing units to Alexandria. Slated for delivery in 2027, the development will include a community lease space, a new bike path, and an upgraded bus stop.

As we continue to celebrate 120 years, our look back at Clark’s history continues with the years 1916–1925. From forging a powerhouse alliance with James L. Parsons Jr. to building Wheatley Junior High School, this decade defined our standard of excellence and set the stage for Clark to become the premier builder of educational facilities in Washington, DC.
