Joyce’s finesse down on the block not consistent against more physical and taller players over 6’3”. Got to get the bigs putting rebounds back up without the one dribble (that killed Okot this year)

Unless Dawn gets another A'ja, Aliyah, Kamilla type front court player, they're not winning another national championship until they get leaps and bounds better offensively at guard. It's been their undoing 3/4 years. One year they won Tessa and Te-Hina shot Iowa's faces off.

@GamecockReview Agree on Mouse, decent defender and quick dribbler but anywhere below the foul line and her shot gets blocked. Her layups are essentially hook shots due to size differences.

I know this will piss most Gamecock WBB fans off but we definitely need a transfer portal point guard. Mouse is not a starter yet. If Fulwiley needed to be on bench, she damn sure needs to be. Less turnovers and all.

@brandon29us @RubrChickens That was the pre-NIL and portal days when Geno’s bench was talented enough to beat 80% of other teams starters. He and Nick Sabin get a lot of credit for winning in an era when you just recruited and stacked 5 star talent.

@RubrChickens Exactly. You never saw Geno losing games like this. If UConn ever gets beat it’s by a few points, never by 30.

Dawn is the greatest coach in the history of South Carolina athletics by a long way. But I just don’t know what to make of being this uncompetitive in two straight finals games. It’s a stain on the resumé for sure, but it’s also hard to complain considering our overall success.

Sorry to see #Gamecocks season end this way. Team collective focus and execution not there today. Don’t know if they are zapped from UConn game but poor shooting and lack of rebounding creating too big of a gap today. Give UCLA credit for their intensity and crashing the boards

@FamouslyGarnet No more bigs shooting 3s, or McDowell flinging up shots. Need Joyce shooting 10 footers. We need Tessa and Agot 3s and some transition turnover points or we may be in trouble. Can’t keep exchanging 2 pt buckets with them and hope to make a run; not the way UCLA is shooting.

1 year later, while Nyck improved he’s mainly just a deep ball threat. He’s not the best South Carolina receiver for a sure-hands 5 to 10 yard catch; route running average at best. He goes pro to have 1 job; outrun CB/S on a 60 yard pass. He’s not Jeffrey, Rice, or Samuels.

Let’s stop the Nyck Harbor experiment to make him an all around receiver. He doesn’t run effective or quick crossing routes after two seasons. Give him two routes: 1) Slot receiver 15 yard slant and 2) Wideout deep route down the sidelines to run under a deep pass #gamecocks

@BCrawford247 Be honest, last year team was more talented than this year’s team. Last year had better defense and better running game that filled in team gaps. Until we have a skilled OLine and a HC who shifts to a highscoring mentality; we will not progress in the SEC. Shane is not that HC.

This performance pretty much sums it up for South Carolina's 2025 season. One of the more talented teams in recent memory marred by coaching malfunctions, no leadership and players failing to live up to expectations. The blame's program-wide.

Shane Beamer’s South Carolina head coach seat should be on fire. He gets no more than 5 games next season to show major improvement. Gamecocks need a creative Offensive minded HC and Offensive Coord who can scheme to score points with the talent you have not the talent you need.

The AD needs final approval on Shane Beamers next offensive coordinator hire. Today’s play calling against Clemson has been way too conservative. No called Sellers runs until 4Q. Take away the deep TDs and this gameplan has mostly operated within 6 yards of line of scrimmage.

Shane Beamer is horrible with timeout management. Slow calling time out end of 2 quarter cost two chances at TD play. Called a timeout in 3 quarter and then Sellers doesn’t run the ball and it’s a turnover. As HC you have to overrule any 4th down run that doesn’t run Sellers!

Sellers may have NFL athleticism but he doesn’t have NFL ready QB skills. Coaching staff play calling hangs him out to dry each game. Put fandom aside, his best move is to transfer to a Big10 or ACC school with a good OLine and softer schedule to improve his NFL stock.

Tonight Ole Miss will deliver a master class to South Carolina in how you offensively call and scheme for a game to maximize your team talent. This should be both a spotlight to Beamer (and Donati) that a pro style offense model does not generate enough points to win in the SEC.
