@Toneskeee Emmanuel, “God with us”. The promised of nations.
English

@ShannonMFHill That’s a great name for a death metal band: “Raging Diarrhea”.
English

@gatorgar Well that cinches it: anonymous sources are at least as reliable as “persons familiar with the matter”, so it must be true. Hope you enjoyed that sandwich; the money could’ve been used to fund healthcare.
English

@Commonconcrete Yeah, that's on the list of things that need re-doing lol
Now that I will have full running water year round it's bumped up the list fast
English

@badbake_offgrid Ah. I call that “contraptioneering”, sometimes necessary. One hopes it’s temporary... 😉
English

@Commonconcrete Ignore the drainage, none of that is proper. It was slapping together whatever I had on hand to make it work and it does lol
English

@ShadesOfRani I would consider funding them if they adopted a more truthful name, such as “Nations United in Spiteful Disdain of the United States”.
English

WHY should the United States fund/support an organizations who's sole purpose is to attack us?
Brandon Straka #WalkAway@BrandonStraka
UN Secretary-General António Guterres warns the organization faces collapse without continued U.S. funding, which contributes roughly $2.2 billion to its core budget. "the United Nations is on the brink of total collapse"
English

@Corbienest I don’t know you, so my guess, 5, is probably wrong.
English

Which button am I?
Uppity Hobbit: Maker of Things@uppityhobbit
Which button am I? (There is a correct answer)
English

@ImNoBetterThanU @Toneskeee Hmm. Interesting philosophical debate. So what color do I see in a sealed pitch dark room at the bottom of a coal shaft at midnight? I would say: none, because the eye perceives nothing about the room. You would say “black” because perceiving nothing is indeed a perception?
English

@Commonconcrete @Toneskeee Black is a color, it is the absence of light.
English

@tunatweets I think Zechariah is an awesome name, nickname Zeke! (It means “God remembers”, but that has nothing to do with how cool it sounds). 😃
English

@Commonconcrete I mean, maybe it’s because you don’t hear it anymore, but if my name was Zechariah, I wouldn’t name my kid after myself, either 😂
English

And *this* is why we’re not telling people the name until our daughter is born.
We don’t want input. The name was chosen over a decade ago.

We’re naming this baby Penelope Kate with the nickname Poppy and I really need some of my family to stop sending me messages with other names like this is up for debate.
English

@SbKeller85972 @PMurany @May_Roma LOLZ. Just to be clear, do you think the shot of the little girl chugging from the carton was a legit recommendation for people to emulate, or a comical device like the neighbor’s arms falling off, employed to make the commercial more memorable?
English

@PMurany @Commonconcrete @May_Roma Why are y'all pretending the CMPB didn't openly advocate for increased consumption!? The official purpose was to "increase fluid dairy consumption in general public and Hispanic communities". You wanted a vid, I gave you one. It's humorous so it didn't count now? gmab
English

@CountKylt @tanomuzeA I used to follow this—it’s basically correct. But I’ve prospered in my career and have more money so I now give 20% for service that isn’t blatantly terrible. Also take into account whether the dining room is understaffed; waiters can’t help that.
English

@tanomuzeA Tipping is a reflection of service. 10% is respectable, 15% if the service was professional. 20% if they went above and beyond during the meal.
20%+ is reserved for unforgettable service. It is rare for that to happen, but when it does I make sure they are well compensated.
English

@PMurany @SbKeller85972 @May_Roma Yup. If there was such an ad, somebody should post the YouTube link. The ads only showed people drinking milk from a glass, maybe having a milk mustache, and they’d follow with the slogan: “Milk: It does a body good”. That’s it. I was there, and I remember.
English

@SbKeller85972 @Commonconcrete @May_Roma No it wasn't....there were no ads or anything else advocating drinking liters of milk per day
English

@SbKeller85972 @May_Roma Questions: What food IS good to overuse? Doesn’t “overuse” imply not good?
English

@May_Roma Actually, there was a huge ad campaign in the 90's by the Dairy industry to get people to drink more milk. They equated drinking milk with growing strong. It was very successful. Looking back, it's now criticized because milk is high in cholesterol and it's not good to overuse.
English

@KatelynTweeter Yep. If it saves a life, I’m in; and not for 9 months. For the long haul.
