I hope Eric not getting any minutes against Sevilla was just for rest and not because he’s still not ready to play. We don’t just need him available we need him to start and potentially play the full 90 against Newcastle. I really don’t want to see Araujo at right back again, otherwise Lamine will probably suffer another tough game where he barely gets support or even enough of the ball. As for Espart, he looks promising, but this game feels too big to be only the second start of his career. We desperately need Eric to be fit for this. Eric–Cubarsí–Martin–Cancelo feels like the only suitable backline for a match like this.
