@DCorbEMAD @MrWhite1079 @AK50_5 He’s still raw around the edges. He might improve significantly. He has a lot of the tools. But 20 year old Quinn Hughes was almost a point per game player. That is not 20 year old Buium, who has a worse +/- rating at 20 and has a significantly lesser ToI. Adequate but not same.

Wasn’t kidding when I said of all the D prospects across the league, he is the one most like Quinn Hughes.

@woumaxx I thought exactly like this in my 20’s The truth is the less bad takes, the better you know puck imo. Getting older makes you not repeating the same mistakes evaluating a trade or prospects.

@DCorbEMAD @HabsDepression @JBully17 Tbf i disagree with a few of the proposals above but they also picked Mesar and Beck pretty high. Tampa and Florida have barely picked in the first round since their window opened because late 1sts usually are hit or miss

@MrWhite1079 @Shady80KW When they got Meier they were heading in the right direction. They have a hard time getting their prospects to the NHL and deliver. Deeper drafting hasn’t been good enough. MacDermid to try and address physicality was kinda funny though.

@DCorbEMAD @Shady80KW They absolutely were, but sticking with the same soft core they had has been the downfall of this team for years. We have solid building blocks but we also have an analytical team who thinks we can win with the softest of players. We’re the cheap version of what the TML were.

You probably blame management, coaching and system before looking with a clear mind into the lineup and the real contenders lineup. You probably think Jack Hughes is a top 10 NHL player.

@DCorbEMAD @MrWhite1079 Dude. He’s the biggest casual on this app. He wants any and every potential player available, even washed scrubs. Knee jerk reactions to the slightest things. Bratt is the only thing he’s been consistent about and he takes it’s so overboard that it’s borderline deranged.

@Shady80KW @MrWhite1079 If there’s one thing he does, it isn’t that. Been very hard on Bratt while everyone thinks he’d be a core piece on any real contender. He sees the game right and knows playoffs are a different stratosphere.

@DCorbEMAD I was, absolutely, but for the past year I was able to realize that I was wrong when most are still sticking with their original take. Nico Hischier is a good player but thinking he’s this irreplaceable asset we can’t lose is flat out wrong.
