Update 2* Pearl Abyss has brought back the focused aerial roll and added it to the skill tree. Although this isn't as OP as it used to be, I'm still glad to see the devs bringing this move back that still gives you a boost in speed during flight. Here's how the new Focused Aerial Roll looks:

@SpawnYaardReply in terms of stamina hindrance. I get what they were going for, but it also makes secret/treasure gear a bit of a letdown since there are maybe 2-3 pieces that break the norm with extra resists or whatnot.

@SpawnYaardReply Armor is pretty annoying though even though it's balanced. Plate armors have no bonuses in movement or attack speed while some cloths do. Apart from Beloth's and frostcursed cloaks, there aren't any that can reliably give you frost or fire resist to overcome the mountain/desert

All weapons are just skins in Crimson Desert, don't go chasing after them unless you want to look cool. The only differentiating factor is the number of abyss gear slots available in them. Dual has max of 5 slots, single handed has max of 3( AFAIK). Find a weapon with max slots and and stick with it and upgrade it to max. You can always embedd gears from diffent weapons to your primary once you unlock 2nd Witch. Now, some weapons come with unique abilities but Devs did a good job by balancing them so that the average of attack + gears abilities bottles down to being similar among all with similar slot size. The same applies for armors.

@Arron_TK @UrMomsOnTinder_ It is a skill issue, though. You don't have the skill(dodge/punish) to overcome this boss with your current gear, simple as that. The game however allows you to postpone the boss, go explore, get better gear and come back when you have more HP, better food and higher damage.

@idonotexistelol Some are just annoying, like the Stargate one up in the abyss. You have to put the pieces together while having practically nowhere to stand. I kept falling off during the force slam animation and decided its not worth it.

Genuine question, do you guys actually think the crimson desert puzzles are hard?? Only one that I didn't bother doing was when you had to go around finding symbols in a forest or something but other than that I've figured out all the rest on my own

@SicklyTheNinJa Yes. It's a research later in Delesya. I had replaced the axe with the chainsaw, same way I did replace the pickaxe with the drill, and you can't pull either the drill or chainsaw on camp. The thought of actually trying the "manual" tools didn't cross my mind.

@SicklyTheNinJa I stand corrected. Apparently it's the chainsaw that you can't pull out on camp. And since I "replaced" it and couldn't pull it, I assumed nothing in that slot can. Game version 1.02.00

@retro_bomb "What is the definition of insanity?" Bungie has proven time and again that feedback in this area will not be acted on...so why keep wasting our breath on it? The fact that 20$ outfits, dungeon keys, 10$ shader packs are still in, means they are being bought, they won't stop.

@PigeonGoGaming By filling every single hole and crevice of the amp with something...loot, encounters, bosses, puzzles, you look at something funny and chances are there's something there. It scratches the exploration itch for many people and it takes a lot of time to find everything.

I just cant agree with so many posts I see about how gaming has been abandoned by tech companies. There is no arguing that they are all pursuing the bigger profits found in AI, but we have seen so many new features being released in the last 15 months designed for gaming. I stand to be corrected but I think it's the most gaming related technologies to have been released in this amount of time. Not everybody will like each and every feature mentioned above but I honestly cant see how releasing all these features means gaming has been abandoned by the Big 3. The DRAM situation is a different beast for sure, but so many posts lament about how Nvidia, AMD, and Intel have abandoned gamers.

@JohnForReason @YorchTorchGames It's really odd given it's the same developer(but not the same team) that's making Black Desert Online, which is notorious for its MTX hell, which granted is much much tamer than it was some years ago...or rather we get enough free shit to not feel the need to swipe.

@YorchTorchGames Modern games are designed around how they can get the most money out of you, and games like Crimson Desert are designed around how much fun they can shove into the players. If a game has microtransactions I’m not going to play it anymore, it’s all bad faith garbage.

Crimson Desert is defying logic. Single player games tend to crater after their first weeks, but Pearl Abyss' new title is doing the opposite. 192K to 208K concurrent players on Steam, Friday to Friday. No multiplayer. No F2P. Just a game people won't stop playing.
