@AnyanwuMalachy @instablog9ja Angwa rukuba is a Christian dominated area, the attackers knew this and hence the attack. The Muslim guy could have been attacked by the angry Christian youths of the area out of revenge, hence the need for him to hide. P.S: I live in Jos.

"He knows I am a Muslim" why do I feel this story is trying to downplay the alleged media rounds that it's mostly Christians that were killed during the Jos attack? Why is this story looking like it's trying to set up another agenda that Muslims were also targeted? This country has a way of making someone over think a situation because of things that have occurred in the past. This story isn't adding up

How A Christian Man Saved My Life During Palm Sunday Att@ck In Jos — Muslim Survivor Recounts Sa’idu Murtala, a resident of Filin Ball in Jos North LGA of Plateau State, has shared how a Christian man saved him during an att@ck on Anguwan Rukuba on Sunday, March 29. The Palm Sunday a§§ault by g¥nmen which left over 40 people d+ad. Speaking with Daily Trust, the garden egg seller said he was with customers when the att@ckbegan. “I used to do business around the Rukuba community. I used to sell garden eggs. Around 7:30, I told my friend Hassan, who used to sell sugarcane that it was already 7:30 and asked him when we were supposed to go home. He suggested we stay until 9 pm. The moment I turned to where I displayed my garden eggs to attend to customers, I started hearing g¥nshots”. “Everybody was looking for somewhere to hide. All of a sudden, a Christian man quickly opened his house and hid me inside. I completely lost my senses, thinking I would be k+lled because the situation was terrifying as people around were angry. “He hid me in his wife’s room and asked his wife to bring food for me. He did everything to calm my mind. I spent the night in his house, and the following day he called my father, who later came and picked me up after the situation was okay. “He knows I am a Muslim because I used to do my business there everyday and leave for my area. He knows my faith. My phone, which I gave to one Monday for charging, was also returned after the situation was calm. All of them know I am a Muslim. I will never forget this man who saved my life,” he said. Murtala said his friend Hassan is still missing, as his phone cannot be reached. He added that the experience taught him that good people exist everywhere. “It was a lesson to me, and that all persons cannot be the same. In both Christianity and Islam, there are good and bad people. But if all people were like this man who saved my life, the world would be at peace. I don’t have anything to pay him back, but I believe Allah will reward him for what he did. Allah would definitely open his doors’’ he said

@autarmama80 @vdmempire In reality, that kind of extremism threatens everyone. Before anyone assumes otherwise, my own grandfather is a respected Imam and many members of my family are Muslims. So when violence escalates, the pain and loss eventually affect us all.

@autarmama80 @vdmempire I believe we need to step down from the high horse of religious defensiveness and look at the problem for what it is. Many of these violent groups openly pursue an expansionist agenda that goes beyond the everyday faith practiced by ordinary Muslims.

@autarmama80 @vdmempire the overwhelming majority of those killed were Christians. If any Muslim was affected, it would most likely be because they happened to be present at the time. This should make us pause and honestly examine the intention behind these attacks.
