@Crimson20116002 @bubblemoder Unfortunately no, Discord would still roll out age verification and the eventual doxxing that comes with it due to hacking incidents. It's mainly the backend issue, discord hosted servers, not the front-end discord in the flatpak.

@cryonicangel @MadScientist_42 I think the issue that people have is that Cachy Distro want to keep using Systemd where it is implementing an optional DoB attribute. It's kind of like asking Cachy Distro to redo their entire packaging system to use other init system which is a bit of a tall order.

@CWest2K19 @ReviewsPossum No hate against the casts, I'm sure that they put their heart into it, just that they would have to rewrite some of the story to make it work. So it's up to producer and director on what they want to do. If any failure happen, blame should be placed on those people in charge.

@wisplite @jxstin1337 @codeHusky There are libraries that literally does this well even for fast start up. I would know, because I was testing this very thing with DuckDB. It can load up GB worth of data on NVMe in about 48 ms load time using SDL3 + Wasmer + Dawn. Not going to argue over it.

It should cache when you load it, sure, but not when you're loading it for the first time. It also probably won't receive messages that are sent while you're looking at a different channel. You have to remember that some discord servers have hundreds of channels and millions of members, if your client was receiving and caching every message in every channel, it would be devastating for performance.
