@DiggingInTheDi1 @TheMindScourge Hard to pump those drones out of rubble. It would be one thing if they were putting up any defense. But they can’t. We hit whatever we want. I suspect that if we know where the leaders we know where the drone factories were. Plus a drone made in Tehran has to get to SoH somehow.

Hormuz is a weapon that can only be fired once No one should expect a quick resolution to the current crisis, but across the next decade, even the next 3-5 years, the choke point of Hormuz will be massively substituted for The Gulf Arab states are all very rich, with high per capita GDP - the best single measure of relative state capacity - easy access to global markets, especially financial, and have the favorable backing of the US Everyone has known about the Hormuz vulnerability for decades. The Iranians have continually hinted around closing it, but never did. Now they have, but Hormuz is a gun that cannot be reloaded. Deterrents work only up to the point of use. Once used, they have failed. The purpose of a deterrent is to *not* be used Many analysts have made this basic mistake. They think that Iran is now in a position of strength, having exercised its Hormuz option. But the opposite is true. A state is weakest after it has used its deterrent. The cost of that deterrence is now priced in. The worst having been done, the targets of the deterrent are now free to make other arrangements. Before, they were reluctant to do so because of the switching costs. Now, they have no choice; they will not allow themselves to be controlled in this way again Hormuz may never reopen. But the importance of this is a depreciating asset.

There are so many geopolitical illiterates chiming in with dumb comments like "It worked in Venezuela so it'll work in Iran!" Iran isn't Venezuela. It's leadership is highly decentralized, partly due to their unification history partly out of necessity through protracted conflict where people die and get rapidly replaced The Supreme Leader has ultimate veto but he isn't the only decision making authority. They have a president that covers things like foreign policy. They have an Assembly of Experts that can theoretically dismiss the Supreme Leader Then they have military split, the president making decisions for the regular military while the IRGC serves the Supreme Leader, the latter of which having their own governance cabinet There are a hundred "leaders" in Iran's leadership. Killing Khamenei doesn't cripple them, it just creates a power vacuum for the next interested party I still think Trump is (sadly) the best president of my lifetime but a certain faction within MAGA are worse than Antifa in understanding the world

War with Iran was near universally predicted to usher in WWIII 10k US casualties in 1st months. Houthis blocking Suez, Iran blocking Straits. Hez + Hamas tying down Israel on 2 fronts. China & Russia gobbling territories w/ US pinned down NONE of that has happened

In the meantime, every military installation built since satellites have existed will be destroyed. The costs will be recovered from Iran.

This tongue and cheek game to me feels so retarded. Days after the attack Marco Rubio said we struck Iran because israel did so. Trump now has on multiple occasions said we went in because of israel. It's an indisputable fact that this is happening because israel wanted it. There's no ambiguity here. Tyler Robinson was also obviously a lone wolf. His friends log dumped their texts and discord messages to Turkey Tom which paints a very clear picture of how Tyler got brain nuked. So why make this implication now, that israel had Charlie killed and tried to kill Trump last year. If Kent was truly a leaker why wouldn't he leak the evidence that he is being forced to stop investigating the foreign connection to these events. People are not approaching any of this with the general skepticism they ought to becuase it confirms the implication that "America is controlled by zog" even though we already have confirmation, because the POTUS and SOS both confirmed that WE ARE AT WAR BECUASE ISRAEL WANTED IT. Have some sense of fucking sanity here.
