🚨Virginia Redistricting Amendment🚨 The Virginia Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the redistricting case this morning. Only two justices asked questions, while the other five remained silent. The court seems to be focused primarily on Rule 30-13, which requires two legislative approvals with a general election between them. My read is this: In Virginia, the general election is a legally fixed event, the November election, even if voting happens early. So as long as the second legislative action occurred after the official general election, the requirement is satisfied, regardless of when early voting began.

One of the great failures of Irish journalism has been the uniform hatred of Trump. Loathing him became a morality test. It was also a good way for mediocre hacks to get airtime - the more appalled they pretended to be, the more TV/radio gigs they got. It was all so transparent.

The president of the United States is everyone’s president. You can love him or hate him. But if you are an American, shots taken at the president are shots taken at the American presidency.
