@matthewdmarsden Who gives a shit Trayvon was murdered by Zimmerman he was 17, minding his own business, walking to his dad’s, when approached by Zimmerman, who fought him and shot him dead. Whites rallied around Zimmerman because Trayvon was black.

If black people are going to try to justify a situation that is clearly a case of murder, white people are not going to want to be around them anymore. I am telling you that is how a lot of people are feeling right now, and that is tragic.

“The Black community’s unhinged feral rampage online and the vile, disgusting circus surrounding the Karmelo Anthony trial have burned away every last ounce of sympathy I ever had. ZERO. NONE. Not one fucking drop. Our ancestors weren’t “racist”- they were fucking right. They saw this exact savage pattern and made the brutal decisions needed to protect their own people. They saw the patterns. They knew the truth. And history is screaming it again right now.” WHITE LIVES MATTER

@FelixAlhasan @TheBrancaShow Isn’t it crazy how many UFC fighters die annually from rear naked chokes? Oh wait… none of them die? Almost like he wasn’t trying to kill him but sometimes shit just goes unpredictably badly when you have to deal with men who can’t behave for shit.

@Titus_PulloBC @JTAlexander If that were a thing… it wouldn’t even surprise me if it was over 100k killed annually. Hell, cops alone would probably hit that mark. Ironically, I bet it would be phenomenal for reducing crime.

I will add something relevant to this specific case. I doubt very seriously that Karmelo's co-ethnics will appreciate the end result of a new justifiable deadly force standard of "verbal assault" and "he put his hands on me". If that is the new standard it will be a bloodbath for their co-ethnics who appear to have a difficult time keeping their hands to themselves and love to verbally assault people, whatever the fuck that means. Be careful what you wish for.

99% of lawsuits, criminal or civil, resolve before trial. This leads to a notion that if a case goes to trial, it must be a close one. In my experience, this is not true. Of the 1% that go to trial, 0.1%-0.2% is a close issue. 0.8%-0.9% is because the Defendant is delusional. They are usually too stupid or self-centered to understand that their defense is complete nonsense that the law doesn’t recognize. Sometimes they refuse to take a plea deal because it’s “worse than the last one.” They think the fact they claim couldn’t get a ride to Court lets them off the hook for Failure to Appear. They think the fact the store has a company policy against using force to stop thieves makes them immune from a Robbery charge when they use force against the employees. They think that because what they stole is worth only $5 that it cannot possibly be a felony that they stole that item at knifepoint. They think that because they got 9 months on their last misdemeanor that the 2-4 year presumptive sentence on their felony is absurd. They think that because their zero-prior juvenile co-defendant only got probation that it’s unreasonable for a career criminal on his third felony to get more than a year. These are all examples of not only cases I have personally prosecuted, but have personally encountered *multiple times.* Not “multiple times over a 20-year career.” Multiple times *every single year.* I absolutely do not doubt whatsoever that Karmelo genuinely believed that stabbing someone over violating the utterly nonsensical ‘hood honor code’ qualified as self-defense. As you can see here, plenty of his co-ethnics genuinely believe this as well. They are utterly delusional. This entire case is a great example of how much time and money our society wastes offering delusional people an opportunity to present their utterly delusional defense. And because it is so absurd and such a waste, most jurors come into trial with a preconceived notion that the case must be a close one. Surely we can’t be dragging them away from work, wages, family, school, and all manner of obligations just to waste their time with bullshit. So it must be valid… right? They will grant the utterly delusional defense far more weight than they would under any other circumstance. And occasionally, if you don’t keep people like OP here off the jury, it will succeed. Despite the law having absolutely no concern whatsoever about this ghetto honor system, our justice system ends up ratifying it every now and then. And nobody ends up giving more free incorrect legal advice than someone that got off on a crime they shouldn’t have. This triggers a cascading effect of ratification of the delusional belief across the local criminal population. Thus, how you have so many people believing the delusion.

EVERY witness in the Karmelo Anthony self-defense case has testified ON THE RECORD that: austin verbally assaulted Mr. Anthony multiple times BEFORE physically assaulting Mr. Anthony instead of getting an adult or authority figure These violent acts caused Mr. Anthony to defend himself against a much bigger brutish aggressor which, unfortunately, led to austin losing his own life All of this could have been avoided if austin would have allowed another fellow human being to sit in peace What is the world coming to....

Karmelo Anthony comparisons are ridiculous. I defended myself after I was violently attacked by white antifa thugs with criminal records -- and it was clear I'd die if I didn't defend myself. We are not the same.

I don’t think Karmelo Anthony meant to kill or even seriously hurt Austin Metcalf. The knife — just like a gun — provides additional courage to its holder. That’s the downside of packing weapons. Supposed to be deterrents, but often lead to more violence than they prevent. I think Karmelo thought, after the verbal warning, he wouldn’t even need to pull it out. Metcalf called his bluff. By then he was all-in, and meant to scratch / poke — but being an amateur, used too much force. Now we’re here. Texas law does not have degrees to murder charges. The intent to injure is why it’s not manslaughter (the other charge option). Self-defense requires equal force to the provocation. The knife usage is hard to mitigate if it’s in response to being pushed. Based on what we know, he should be convicted. Given the climate, he may beat it. We’ll know, I’ll guess, by end of the week. Deliberation won’t take long.

I don't understand how self defense laws work in America but one thing I keep hearing from Karmelo's defense narrative is that Austin Metcalf pushed him and therefore he stabbed him in self defense. Let's assume that's true. Hell, let's assume he was pushed so hard he fell backwards to the ground. Is he then justified on grounds of self defense to stab Metcalf to death under self defense laws?

For over a decade there have been two people freely using my ssn to work, live, run a business, and file taxes using my ssn. Nothing has ever been done about it, other than telling me I'm not allowed to know who they are.
Greg Koenig@gak_pdx

I dated the HR lady for a large construction subcontractor (the largest interior firm in the country with tns of thousands of employees - they build every Apple Store and chip fab). She made it very clear that the entire E-Verify system is a total scam. Why? An obvious loophole construct: 1- Illegal aliens all acquire fake documents, often duplicates of working citizen’s information. They pass all inspections because they are “real” documents that have real data behind them that would require law enforcement powers to pierce privacy protections in order to suss out the fraud. 2- It is made very clear that she was never allowed to question documents presented to her. A young Latino man with the name ‘Jeff Smith’ with a 1974 birthdate could *not* be questioned about the obvious misrepresentation on the ID they submitted as long as the photo matched and the physical ID cards passed the cursory inspections a club bouncer at the door performs. When all the info is submitted into E-Verify, it passes with flying colors. Illegal alien employment is not the sort of scam Jason (and many on the left) think it is - where the evil boss man knowingly hires random Latinos he pays under the table at a fat discount to market rates! The company my ex worked for? 100% of their employees were fully documented as valid to work in the USA with a 100% eVerify rate- all paid union wages, health benefits, taxes, etc. Does everyone at the company know like 30% of the workforce is illegal? Yes, but not according to the procedures the government mandates they use to detect legal status.

Shooter almost certainly aimed center mass. No pro is taking head/neck shots against someone not wearing armor. Fired, likely missed COM, and caught his neck. A 200 yard shot is easy, and anyone who spends a decent amount of time on the range can make contact at that distance. It only sounds professional if you believe the shooter was aiming for his throat. The reality is that no pro would miss a COM shot at that distance or would aim for the neck on a target not wearing armor. Not a pro. Just my opinion.

@DissidentSoaps The smart play to counter this is to get a property that has rental income like a duplex or a house with a guest house. I bought my house 3 years ago and have a $3k a month mortgage, but I rent the guest house for $2k. Eventually, the rent will probably exceed the mortgage.
