@DanielRHyde Wild that both left and right share the impulse. For instance, ReVoice claimed they will “bring queer treasure into the New Jerusalem” while CNs are going to build some sort of curated US of A kingdom, and then somehow bring it through the cleansing cataclysmic fire.

@DutchPresby Yeah, as I mention in my dissertation, the Puritan earthly latter-day glory is outside the confessional tradition … they read their Bibles with the newspaper in hand …

Part 3 of my mini series on the historical development of #Puritan #JohnOwen’s #eschatology. How did the experience of defeat, culminating in 1662, affect his outlook for a future age of “latter-day glory?” Links to all 3 below…

So Caleb was Judean because of his mother, but Ruth was not, either by faith or by marriage, and circumcised Uriah who was allowed to marry a daughter of Judah and who fought valiantly in the national army by the outward sign of conversion and by faith, was also not a true Israelite? How do you square this with Romans 2:28?

Aaron, thanks for the honest question. Caleb was from the tribe of Judah. Read part 2 of point 1 of this article here substack.com/home/post/p-17…. Ruth was not a citizen of the state properly speaking being a woman. Uriah was a servant of the true King but not an Israelite. Asserting he was is just asserting he was. Read my article on the nation here to learn more of my thoughts - @samuelketcham/note/p-186744798?utm_source=notes-share-action&r=6eidvv" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">substack.com/@samuelketcham

We must have a consistent Christian Nationalism because we must be faithful to Christ. - @JoelWebbon includes Papism and thereby dilutes the "Christian" part (2 Thes 2:3, Gal 1:6, Phil 3:9). - Stephen Wolfe @PerfInjust includes a myriad of nationalities and thereby dilutes the "Nationalism" part (Gen 10:5,20,31; 2 Samuel 5:1, Acts 17:26). If we consistently followed these CN leaders, we would not have Christian Nationalism and (despite the good they do) not be faithful to Christ's Word and created order. These are the consistent CN leaders of which I am aware: @spanglermt @CoreyJMahler @jetbrane @totusjustice.

Someone in my family got a profanity-laced, insulting email of a personal nature, so my account is scrubbed and I’m going anon for the foreseeable future just to be safe.

Hey Nate, Something of a complicated intersection of the impulse behind their earlier Heathen Missions and 1970s progressive attempts to break out of ethnic insularity. You can search periodicals below, but much is not yet digitized. If you find something curious, email Dr Katerberg at Heritage Hall and his staff will scan it for you. calvin.edu/library/databa… Will.Katerberg@calvin.edu

Question about the CRC: What is the origin and thought behind its chapel ministries? We're they intended as church plants, or were they outreach ministries intended to funnel people into the CRC? Something else?

@GovBobFerguson It is a tragedy to consider what has happened to Seattle over those years. Needles and feces litter the site of the former World’s Fair.

@DutchPresby Nice! Hold over from your Dutch Reformed days, or are there other ARP churches that do this?

Who in the world preaches nine evening sermons in a row on the doctrine of sin? Pretty much any ordinary Presbyterian who preaches through the Larger Catechism one Q&A at a time! #4/9 tonight!

@WVPitt I preached this as loud and often as I could. I even offered to buy and set up websites for our churches that didn't one one (about 10). No one took me up on it. This story is very common.

We have a young couple who is fixing to join our church and they came to us via Paul Washer videos on Youtube. Realized they were becoming Reformed out of a free will Baptist background, googled "Reformed church near me" and we came up first. Read our website, visited, stayed.

What gets people in the door of a Presbyterian church, if that’s not the tradition they grew up in? I’m a cradle presby so this is pretty much all I’ve know my entire life.

It is a creation ordinance and it is for the whole of Adam’s race that even the unbelieving servant class may rest. Genesis 2:1-3 Deuteronomy 5:14 Mark 2:27 As for the Israel comment, there has always been one people of faith, one true church, the spiritual children of Abraham, the Israel of God who believe in the promised Messiah. Gen. 3:15 Romans 4:3 Galatians 6:16

It's a curious thing that many in the Church think that the Sabbath (as a day of the week) was given to them. It was not. The only way to even remotely conclude that the Jewish Sabbath can be twisted from its defined observance is to errantly believe that the Church is Israel. The takeaway? The Sabbath was given solely to the Jews and not the Church.

@Garcia_Mark_A I’m curious to learn if studies into the misapprehension of neo-Kuyperianism by progressive transformationalists serves a watch word in your model?

Cuban regime practicing with their formidable oxen-borne mobile air defense artillery to repel a possible American invasion.
Mag Jorge Castro🇨🇺@MagJorgeCastro
