@Inkslasher Loving the gunplay and shells. Performance is great on PC, 1440P Ultra with 144 FPS. I love the art style, but to each their own. Factions REALLY help you out early on. Overall, enjoying it, but there's a learning curve.

Won’t be playing until tomorrow but what is everyone thinking about Marathon?

@CoolRunnersClub I think there’s ALOT of people waiting for the server slam/launch to actually put their money down which is good and will boost it to #1 US and Top 5 global by next weekend. Everyone preordering now is either closed testers or hype enjoyers.

tracked a bit overnight, looks like like #5 US / #10 global is the peak. probably hard to climb much higher, as global is now bouncing around 10-12. but maybe there’s another push after people play the Server Slam for a couple days. 📝

I don’t care if it makes me a shill, a boot licker, etc… I’m genuinely so excited for Marathon. Halo made me fall in love with gaming. Destiny helped me become a streamer. I can’t wait to see what Marathon does. Which runner you choosing? I’m having a hard time deciding.

@AphelionArtist It’s not milsim/hyper realism focused. It’s not as casual as Arc, but also not as hardcore as Tarkov. Bungie level gunplay and worldbuilding. I also love the art style. Deeper player progression through factions and build crafting with shells.

i’m curious: people who are into marathon but haven’t really played or enjoyed extraction shooters before, what draws you to it? do you think you’ll be able to keep up?

@scoobernetic @giancar73012035 Well if the game is good and guys like Peanut enjoy it (which they probably will) then it’ll be good. Most of the big gaming streamers on Twitch are FPS players, so it’s up their alley.

@Ermac43 @giancar73012035 My concern would be big dogs like peanut have both motion and a gravitational pull, that they can in an entirely benign way effect both behaviour of the masses and behaviour of a lot of the other big streamers, maybe of whom want to be seen doing the hotness etc.

I don't know what Bungie was thinking letting these YouTubers upload marathon videos. They're terrible, it's a terrible showcase of the game, totally unwilling to play the game, they're only in it for the money. Still, the game looks incredible, but damn, what a terrible showcase
