It makes sense. I got like 600k subs in two months when Genshin launched. It is the mass majority of subscribers on my channel. I then lost subs from older games, and continued to replace them with Gacha fans. I genuinely think the channel is trapped forever.

Sigh. I decided to post a Genshin impact video for the first time in like 2 years. And not only was it 1/10 best performing, the amount of comments saying it was the first video recommended to them in years from me hurts. Actually might need to make a new channel.

I honestly feel like some GOOD male role models need to start making content. The field is getting absolutely flooded with young dudes on steroids, who hate women, and are giving terrible advice. Young men are be indoctrinated by idiots with no life experience. It's crazy.

Oh. Gamer. This ship has for sure sailed. Me / my friends will be one of the last generations of creators that just kind jumped in, made guides and streamed and made it careers. The whole space is flooded with slop, drama, viewbotters, and trainwrecks of people in many cases.

Wtf... found this on Reddit. Apparently there is a whole S-Class FREE weapon you can get in @NTE_GL from a quest. I have never really seen that in a gacha game. They typically always just try to sell you characters / weapons

Many times gacha devs give the CN communities more stuff, and refuse to give it to global players. It's a very odd precedent that has happened many times, and cause some games to get massive hate. NTE decided to do the opposite and just give global players the same stuff. POG.

@falloutplays I personally found sponsored kit lobbies insanely boring and pointless. You don't have enough ammo to boss, you don't get drops from other players. It is fine for questing, but it felt so unfun to play for me

Personal Answer: It would probably be in Marathon's best interest to get more active players. Playing nothing but sponsored kit lobbies certainly isn't a way I'd want to play 24/7 (would much rather kill kitted teams & take their gear), but it's lookin like a solid way to get more casuals to give it a go - as they know they'll be on even footing, and its low-stakes PvP. I had a Mod play Marathon for the first time yesterday, and she seemed a little nervous about jumping in. But Sponsored Marsh was a great starting ground - kinda like the Bunny Hill for beginner skiers. A place for players to figure things out & build their confidence a bit more before raising the stakes by jumping into other maps/gametypes.

The number of comments on this celebrating or begging for the sponsor kit queue to be permanent is highly concerning. Do people really prefer playing a worse BR, or is the average person's gear fear just that crippling? I really don't understand, what is the appeal here?

Maybe if they are super into hunting down sponsors and opportunities. But most creators have zero sales / negotiation skills, and many can barely keep their lives in order other than stream lol. I was against getting help for years, and when I worked with @Real_Musashi and @MythicTalent it was life changing. For context: YT revenue was like 90% of my earnings. When I worked with them during covid, despite making MORE Revenue, Yt was like 5% of my earnings compared to sponsored stuff. I made nearly 200k in a month doing sponsorships, and I never could have handled all the contracts / emails / deliverables / making the content without their help. If you aren't pulling in bigger numbers, like 75-100k+ per video, or 1k+ easily every stream, it maybe it isn't as worth it to work with an agency... but honestly I'd give away 15-20% of my sponsored revenue to get 2-300% more deals lol.

Unpopular opinion. I’ve founded talent agencies and hold professional state licenses as a Talent Agent. And 90% of content creators don’t need an agency. Most would be far better off building direct relationships with brands instead. 🤷‍♂️
